in the returic of we will not be protected if we do not get the amendment to the 3rd article of the geneva convention.
could you interpet his words as meaning that we will be attacked again after it is defeated and as such we will be able to say i told you so .
it is becoming clear that this administration is fustated with congress even thoough it is a congress controlled by the party in office at the white house All I can say is we need more information in what the specifics of his admendment are that congress is so opposed to passing there is more than what were being led to believe .

Between the lines it appears that GW is trying to get the law passed to cover his butt. As Commander in Chief he could be called to task for ordering several illegal policies as indicated by the Supreme Court. The only way he gets around it is to have congress pass a law saying what he did was legal.

Laws are passed often to make something legal for a few which is illegal for the rest of us. As with the Prescription drug laws.

BushCo has flat out said that the executive is not bound by the actions and laws of Congress. Bush just hasn't formaly taken the step of dismantling Congress, and still pays lip service to the idea.

But he has also said that regardless of what laws are passed (or not) he will continue to act as he sees fit.

Sure he is. The only thing we need protection from is him and his corrupt administration. You have to look at the lobbyist groups too. They put more pressure on Congress than anyone. Especially AIPAC.

The Geneva convention was about how to treat solders fighting for their country. The terrorist are not fighting for country as they are just independent killing machines and need to be handled as such.

You mean "rhetoric?" The spell check is easy to use and so convenient too. No, I don't think he's threatening Congress with his "rhetoric."

Yes I mean terrorists are loveable fuzz balls. Why should we push them for info? They've been trained for resistance on the questioning. THey are smart though.

They have fooled you and the Democrats

returic? What the hell is this? Rhetoric?

This tells me that you don't have a clue of what you're talking about. Typical libtard. Pressure is not threats.
