It's democratic, which is more than can be said for China. It lets the economy do well.

Hi,
I think that the government fulfils one important role that they are set out for; to properly guide the country along the path of progress.
Yes, they may take draconian measures on certain issues, but they've kept the big picture in view and helped move the country forward extremely quickly in 40 years.
Not to mention, governing a country which has zero natural resources.
