What is everyone arguing about?

They are arguing because they are Democrats and Republicans.
If Bush said we were leaving tomorrow the Dems would be screaming "too soon, they're not ready."
If Bush said we're leaving in 2 years the Dems would yell "too long, it has to be sooner."
So Bush says we'll leave when their Army is trained and up to the challenge of handling things on their own and the Dems scream for a time line.
No matter what Bush says the Dems will be against it.
On the other hand if the shoe was reversed the Republicans would take the same tact with a Dem President. Its all about politics, especially in an election year.

Guess it comes down to what I saw in a post elsewhere.. "dems are on average smarter than republicans." Would question that premise as most dems find their dialogue to be filled with insults and innuendo to be par for the course.. no discussion necessary.. just insults and truth twisting. Not to mention conspiracies.

To the dems you grab people off the street ( draft ) , teach them how to march and eat with a fork , give them a rifle and send them to fight .
Worked fine 200 years ago , why change ?
