You can't lump all or even the majority of conservatives into the Fascist category. There are a lot of conservatives who are truly disgusted with this administration and that number is increasing every day.
Rumsfield, Bush and Rove may be screwball deviants whos only real goal is to push their twisted agenda but let's not label that agenda as being inherently conservative.
I don't consider myself a conservative but let's not damn the whole lot of them. Republicans have formed an unholy alliance with rightwing "Fascists" and religious wackos but we shouldn't blame true Conservatives for this.

Wow, where do I begin on a rant like this? Do you want someone to actually answer your question, or do you just want someone to say something like one of the answerers above me, about the conservatives being inbred?
I'm not going to waste too much time on you, you're hopeless, but I will say this:
"Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it."
One of our biggest mistakes prior to WWII was allowing Hitler to continually disregard the Versailles Treaty. Then there were the people who believed that we had no right to interfere with what was occuring in Europe. Were we aware? Not fully, but in part, YES. We knew that Hitler was evil, we knew that it was only going to get worse, and we ignored the warning signs.
We can't AFFORD to make that mistake again. Don't you realize that those "warmongering neocons" are only that way, because they fear the repercussions that we could potentially suffer under another World War? We can't AFFORD another World War.
They see this. I see this. Many others see this.
Are you so blind that you don't?
Dissent is perfectly permissible. Questioning our government and its motives is also perfectly permissible. However, one must draw the line somewhere. Our future IS at stake, whether you choose to believe it or not.

I believe that the terrorists do advocate fascism. What else can you call their ideal form of government? Did he call people against him Nazi Sympathizers? I didn't see that. He said there are lessons to be learned from history from not fighting fascism. That is true. Is the terrorist threat a huge enough threat to warrant our response is a different question.

I think anyone who throws around terms like "nazi" or "nazi sympathizer" is an idiot. Regardless of what party they belong to. That is like comparing an anit-social child to a mass murderer. There is no comparision. And to lightly call someone that so flippantly it just idiotic, and in my opinion, makes light of the magnitude of the hatred and evil of the nazi regime. Neither the democrats nor the republicans are fascist and from you quote, I dont think Rumsfeld was calling left wingers nazi sympathizers...I think he was merely making the point that the agenda of islamic terrorists is similar to that of nazi germany, and as such, we must do whatever we can to fight against it. Islamic terrorists desire to murder innocent people in order to get the entire world to submit to their control and their point of view. They desire that no living human being have the right to decide what religion they will be or how they will live their lives. They believe that women should be prisoners in their own homes and men should be beaten for missing prayer meetings. They believe that all people should convert to their perverted view of islam or DIE. This radical way of thinking, which diregards human life is similar to the way of thinking and behaviors that the nazi's held. The point Rumsfeld was trying to make is that we cannot negotiate with terrorists, we cannot "make nice" with them and hope they won't attack us. They are extremists who want to rob us of our freedom, our way of life, our liberties, are human rights, and our very lives. We have no choice but to battle with everything in us to prevent this. Freedom is not free.

Isn't it funny. The republicans were the ones who fought the Dems to bring us the civil rights bill. The Dems were led by the KKK. Remember, the party of Lincoln was the republican party. The party that freed the slaves over the Dems objections.

Im no longer political. yet frequently whilst somebody calls for 'finished freedom of determination', it frequently skill that somebody else alternatives up their tab. As in, that expressed freedom reasons, inflicts, unfavourable effects on somebody else...it is crushing to their 'finished freedom of determination'. So, if u 'think of' abt it, attempting to make advantageous no person else has to b stored from having their finished freedom, is moving forward w concept & attention of all.
