After a picnic and walking me home my boyfriend went back and spent five hours retracing our steps and then searching in long grass for my missing earring. He found it and taped it to a big card with a picture of a puppy on it and sent it to me in the post. I was overwhelmed. The relationship didn't last but my memory of that will last forever.

Well I don't know if this is romantic or not, but my girl loved it... I bought a dozen roses and then I went around to everywhere she would be during the day and left a rose with a note. And then I had her meet me for dinner and had one rose left with me. I gave her the rose and had dinner together. Then we went out by the lake and laid down and watched the stars and talked. So by the end of the night she had all dozen roses with her.

When "A Raisin in the Sun" was being shown on Broadway, i was telling my boyfriend at the time how excited I was about the play and how I couldnt wait to be able to purchase the tickets so we could go. The next day he calls me and tells me to take a certain day off from work because he had gotten us FRONT ROW SEATS!! I was so shocked and happily surprised because I had not expected him to do that for me. He had really listened to me and gone the extra mile. he got sooooo many brownie points! lol

the most romantic thing i have ever done was for my ex-boyfriend. he came to my house one day after work and i timed him perfectly. When he walked thru the door there was one rose sitting in a vase with a card welcoming him and then instructing him to relax and take a shower; in transit to the bathroom, there were candles lighting the hallway with little hersheys kisses in between each; once in the bathroom, he undressed and pulled back the shower curtain to find a dozen (really 10 roses) hung upside down in the shower with a note attached asking him to put on the clothes i laid aside for him; lastly when he finished his shower and got dressed, he came to my bedroom door and found another a note attached the door saying: " now that i have kissed the ground you walk on, and showered you with my love, please enter your personal realm of paradise." the most romantic thing a person has done for me, is by fiance'. at the time,, he didnt have a lot of money to do anything for my bday so he improvised. The last bit of money he had, he went and bought a box cake, icing and candles. When i came home he had made me baked chicken, potatoes, etc...and then presented me with a chocolate cake (my favorite flavor) with red icing (my favorite color) that read: "happy bday to the queen who was born for me".....it brings tears to my now just thinking about it!!!

My boyfriend and I are both divorced with kids. The first time I spent the night at his house (the kids were all away for the weekend), he had soft music playing and candles were lit in every room. On the nightstand he had body lotion and massage oil, and he had me lay down on the bed for a full-body massage.

I didn't know men could come up with this on their own, without expecting something in return! Lucky me...

thats is so difficult to put into words, being there for your partner when they need you most, or sudden surprise whisk away holidays, it difers from person to person, you will know it when it happens and usually it could be the less perfect night but the most intimate time is, only you will feel it, personally, be your true self and a night in with a bottle of wine and candles lighting the scene, and cheese and biscuits, and a good dvd or video, then talk and ???????.

A long time ago, before we were married, I visited my husband, and before I left, I sprayed my perfume on his pillows. The smell drove him nuts! He felt like I was still there.

I dated a guy in high school, who made me this sort of daily calendar for a trip I would be taking. Every day had a different message, and sometimes a memory item. It was so sweet.

I was on holiday, away from a loved one, and missing them desperately. Sitting on a beach, i longed to feel them near me, and so i wrote in the sand with my finger the words "miss you". I thought long and hard about it..took a picture with my phone & sent it back home. I felt terribly foolish, wondering what they would make of my mssge and didn't hear anything for hrs..then late that night i received a txt mssge which said "got your mssge...i cried".
And so did i, on the reassurance that i was loved as much as he was missed.

My friend and I left the city on a whim. In another city, we walked along the river walk under the stars holding hands and talking and laughing.

When I was in high school, I had a long distance relationship, in which my very first bf wrote me a song that had my name in it. He recorded it with background music and sent it to me. We ended up breaking up because of the distance, but to this day I still remember the song and him (because of it).
