It was interesting gas prices fell even through the busy Labor Day holiday when increased demand should have drove them up, at least that is the excuse they give us every other time they raise them. It just so happens this was election time so how convenient they went down. If they would have gone up due to the increased demand, I wouldn't be suspicious, but they didn't. I will have to agree with you. The current administration wants reelection for sure.

Oh according to Socialist-Demoncrats Dubya is responsible for everything.
Clinton had 8 years to deal with terrorism, Bush had 8 months, yet still He is responsible for 911.
As for Oil, if the Commie-Dems in Congress would get their noses out from between Environmentalists buttcheeks we could build the first Oil refinery in 30 years, increase our own exploration and tell the Saudis what they can do with their oil.
There is enough Oil right here to get us through until a viable energy source is developed and marketed affordably and practically towards consumers.
Yes we can get off oil, but not immediately, but we could cut our business with Islam so were not in bed with the enemy if only the terrorist- supporting Democrats would let us.

I thought the free market and supply and demand was how prices raise and fall. The only thing politicians regulate for oil is the taxes, of which they made a lot more when prices rose.

I realize this is an election year ok. What I would like you to do is explain to me how One man can control a commodity traded on the WORLD Market. Now had you said OPEC then maybe we could talk. Next why don't you name ALL the Politicians in both parties that don't own OIL stock. I think you'll find there's ALOT more BIG OIL in DC than just GWB. I love how you people think GWB can control EVERYTHING even the weather.

Pre election game huh? Thats an interesting conspiracy theory, but how does he get all those Islamic countries who own the oil to lower the cost for him since they hate him so much?
If he is so shrewd and smart to pull this off then we should all be voting for him.

Another idiot amongst us that thinks the president is all powerful and controls everything on earth. Learn to do some research and thinking of your own before you open mouth and insert foot. Did you know most your wonderful liberal leaders in the House and Senate have stock in oil? Nancy Pelosi has stock in the evil Exxon that gave there retiring CEO over 400 million dollars.

Yes he has a history in the oilfield and there is nothing wrong with that. The gas prices are dictated by the futures market which in turn is fueled (no pun intended) by supply and demand as well as the ability for investors to make money. Are you that inept as to not understand how the markets work? Or are you another typical lib-socialist that believes the government controls or should control everything?

The oil price is controlled by Wall street speculators, and that's worse then anything else that could happen. Supply and demand has a small effect, W has none.

I wish I had a few 100 gallon containers to spare. I'd fill them
all with oil & gas.
We all know what's going to happen after the election.
Bush is going to be so pissed, gas will go up to $5. a gal.
