How many agree that maybe there is some intelligence in the senate after all?

Not much. They should all be fired and barred from running again, if they can not read important legislation before voting on it!

Yes there is noone ever denied the existence of conservatives in the Senate, or the House for that matter. As a matter of fact they are the majority, so you should say the majority of the Senate is intelligent. About the defied thing I am not up on the news today, but Bush does make mistakes noone is perfect. "To err is human"

It depends upon what they defied Bush on. Intelligence is not evident simply in defying the President.
