You never do, Time makes it somewhat easier. You will remember all of your life and you will smile. Even when one comes to fill that gap.No one can compete with the fantasy you will create around the love you lost.

Life is like that , moments that take your breath away will ever live in the corners of your mind.

Yes you need to move on, but you don't want to forget. Lessons of life exist there also

Good luck

By realizing that if it truly was love you wouldn't need to get over it. Most often it is the IDEA of who you wanted them to be and what you wanted the two of you to be together that we are actually mourning the loss of...not the reality because if the reality matched the ideas it would work out..if it didn't then they didn't match. Keep the idea, keep the dream of what you want a relationship to be, thats fine, this just wasn't it. You move on and its amazing the things that seem so bad at the time, but later on in life when you look back you are grateful that they worked out just the way they did because it allowed you to get to wherever you are now and become who you will be. In the meantime maybe this will help.

It takes time, but time in itself doesn't fix anything, its what you do with the time that counts. If you spend that time doing nothing but thinking about what was yesterday that is how you will spend your tomorrows. You have to grieve, but give yourself a limit, after that push yourself forward, no matter how much you don't want to, keep busy doing things that make you happy, at first it will serve no real purpose except distracting your brain, but eventually you will find joy in them again.

Take care of yourself physically, make great meals just for you, don't start eating junk just because its just you eating it, read some great books, listen to great music, DANCE (nobody can be sad when they dance) even if its home by yourself, shop, spend time with friends and family, volunteer in your community with people or dogs if you prefer. Do the things you gave up for your relationship. Soon you will find yourself understanding what went wrong and ready to try again. Good luck, be patient with yourself, and remember it will get better!

The only thing that does it is time. It will take time but every day gets a little easier. Just try not to think about him and focus your life around other things. Good luck.

You just have to force yourself to not think about him and find the bad in him. And just find another guy not to date, but just to hang out with. But if all else fails then definently go to your friends!!!! Your friends love u and they will let u have a wonderfull time and get your mind off of him.

You don't get over it. You learn to deal with it.

You train yourself to think of him less often. You train yourself to stop comparing every guy you meet to him and him being better.

You learn to focus your energy on other things and to block out the thoughts of him that keep trying to come to the surface.
