A weekend or just a day to himself. Maybe schedule a trip for him with his best buddy to hunt, fish, golf, whatever it is he likes. Pay for his ticket / supplies or whatever he needs for the day. Pack a super lunch for him, tell him to have a blast, and most of all, actually mean it!! You will be surprised how much it would mean to him for you to allow him the freedom to do something totally for himself and how much he will appreciate you when he returns home!!

Have his favorite food and beer ready for him on a Saturday or Sunday and let him watch sports all day with no one around to bother him unless he wants friends to come over.
No honey do list, no responsibility of kids, just let him relax.
Sex before you leave would be good too.

Take him on a date.
Give him a nice gift..... New wedding ring.... or somethig connected with things he likes......Golf ball, and or clubs......Ect.... Then take him home and make love.......Love like the first time......Mean it.....
