Anyone who files the proper paperwork to be a non-profit charitable, religious or educational corporation can get the same tax breaks. Regardless of what they believe.
I know groups of so-called fortune tellers that have filed as non-profit corps and have tax breaks. And I know churches that have not filed and don't get tax breaks. It all comes down to the paperwork.

Good point... however the church is more of a community as opposed to a fortune teller being more of a solo thing.

If you tax churches, what would you base it on? Any church who pays more than another one would allege that the government is establishing one religion over another....thus violating the Constitution.

Depends, I think we should tax people like Pat Robertson, who are in religion for the money and not the.....religion.

i dont think so. churches in my religion use the money they make in offerings to pay bills, support missionaries. its not like they make you give them money. its voluntary.
