i met this guy last night on the internet through a chat room and we started talking and i really like him i mean hes funny and we have alot in common and i was starting to fall for him but like i dont want to cuz i dont wanna get my heart broken and i dont know if hes a liar or not since alot of ppl lie on here but not everyone lies so.but idk if i should date him i mean we just met last night,hes from utah and im from oklahoma.we both love wrestling,were both shy,we both have divorced parents,we both live with our dad.last night he said i was beautiful and i havent been called that in a long time.what should i do? should i get to know him better or go out with him? i really like this guy and we couldnt stop talking to each other.

sounds like a set-up. Try to get more information on him - things that cannot be made up but are public record and make sure there are no contradictions

Well meeting somebody through the internet is just a chance.
The only way you know somebody for sure is when you know the family, known and met somebody for sometime atleast, know the tastes and thoughts, etc.
Physical looks is just 25% of the parameters for marriage prospects.
Don't you hear that a couple dated and lived together for 5 years and married after ; but got divorced within one year.
What does this tell. You can never know a persom enough.
And marriages work even you did not know a person at all but both of you have lot of patience and ability to overlook each other mistakes and keep learning and do respect each other and more.

Hon, be careful... You've only talked once. Being from different states is hard, not that it isn't possible to make a relationship work but still... I Met a guy from the internet... We talked for 3 weeks on the phone b4 we could meet each other, due to the distance between us. We discussed EVERYTHING... I had very deep feelings for him. But when we did meet, spending time with him was wonderful, I just didn't love him in a romantic way. It felt more like very close friends, even like a brother sister bond... to me anyways.. for him, well he told me he loved me... I couldn't allow myself to be unfair to him... I told him we couldn't be together as a couple, and we are friends now...
it's definitely something that could go either way for you.. I'd just really be smart about it... maybe if you want to meet, meet, but in a safe place, and everything... then see what happens... not to sound like an emotionless person, but don't put all your feelings into it until you have a little more stability with him!

be careful, my dear - you don't even know for sure that you were talking to a guy! Anyone can be anybody on the internet, there's very little incentive to tell the truth and no way to know for sure! Too many scary stories of women getting hurt or swindled...you can't fall in love with a person you've never met.

Have you not been hearing how many people have been raped or hurt by meeting people on the internet? No, don't meet him. You don't even know this guy. He is probably making everything up to make you think he's a great guy. I don't agree in meeting up with someone that you met on the internet. It can only lead to something bad.

Talk more, test him, protect your heart. Give it 3 to 6 months first. If you still think you want him maybe, then meet in public somewhere for lunch. Don't be surprised if he isn't who you think he is.

Be careful, guard your heart, talk it over with friends. see if he wants to meet at a public place to meet with you and a group of friends. But be careful most of all.

keep chatting to him on the internet dont meet him anytime soon,stay in close contact though and mayby you coul;d exchange phone numbers he has to do it first though just in case
