He ended our 3.5 year relationship cause he says he doesn't want to explain himself to anybody, here's what happened:
We had already made plans for sunday, sure it wasn't something out of the ordinary, but still. When i picked him up at 3:30 he said he had agreed to go practice with his band at 5. He never wants to take me though. I felt bad that he didn't even call me to tell me the change of plans, or ask me if i would go with him. He always makes a big fuss when i HAVE to do things in the time that we usually see each other, even worse if i just want to. He was willing for me to go with him (take him), but he got all mad because i'm giving him trouble and that he shouldn't have to choose. And i wasn't making him choose, i was just asking for a heads up, the same as he always asks of me. Then he said our plan was stupid so he thought i wouldn't mind!

No you weren't wrong to be mad. If he expects you to give him a heads up then it is only polite and reasonable for him to give you a heads up he had plans later in the evening. You didn't ask him to choose, you just asked for some common courtesy.

well maybe he's not comfortable taking you at the practice so you shouldn't have forced him. but i think he made too-big-a-deal for this. are you sure this was not just a pretext to dump you? i mean, after 3.5 years, this doesn't seem like a reasonable motive
