The comparisons to Dictator Dumbya beg to be asked. If I call Dumbya a dictator, then so must Saddam have been. The USA has democratic traditions that will just not go away in a day, much to the discomfort and vexing of Dumbya. Iraq has no such traditions so the repression there on the ground for the average person was, (AND STILL IS), more pronounced. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

Don't put labels on people that don't want to be labeled. If you do you will miss what is really going on in any aspect of life. In order to beat your enemy you must know who you enemy is. Why do you think we can not win this war. We don't know why the people are fighting us. We think they want to take our freedom but that is just plain stupid. We will never beat them because the American people will never fully support a war the needs to be sold to us every day by our President. If the President has to tell you all the time why we are at war then there is something wrong with the war. I know I got off subject but it plays into our government calling Saddam a evil dictator and terrorist supporter and WMD's all this stuff is just propaganda to support the cause. Every country does it not just the USA but we as Americans should be smart enough not to fall for the bullshit sold to us by our government.
And what is up with all these people supporting the Kurds. Where were you when all this was going on and why didn't the two presidents before Bush Jr do something about this. who the hell thinks we went into Iraq to avenge the Kurds. Dummies

Let's see...kills the Kurds and others who opposed him, waged war on his neighbors, suppressed dissent, muzzled the press, tortured and beheaded the rest, set up a cult worship of himself.
Now, 6 and 4 and 9 and carry the two and divide by the square root of the hypotenuse......
Nope, just doesn't hit minimum requirement for that. I guess he's merely a despot.
What is the criteria for "tyrant"? Anyone know?
[Holy cow, what a load of rubbish from the judge that is]

Yeah, well some of our judges have been granted the power to make laws (early 1800s, first major supreme court case), so they are still far from our poor example

He poisoned gassed 180,000 Kurds and killed thousands of his own people.
Saddam says (not the judge) that he was not a dictator.
Surely, he wouldn't lie about it. He wants liberals to support him.

He was a man. He comited crimes in his country. He broke his own countries and relegions laws. This I guess makes him a "DICKtator"
and should be tried and punished as one. End Of.
