I think the EU is ruining Britain. we are losing our standards, our identity, our Britishness. Political correctness has gone crazy, theyre building casinos when the nation is millions in debt, hospitals are a mess and millions is going out everyday to fun the EU when it could be used much better by Britain for Britain. And now we're becoming a nanny state where we'll all soon be watched like big brother every move we make. What do you think?

For those who dont know, Britain is a member state which is why it funds the EU. But Britain hasnt joined the EU constitution

I entirely agree with you, the subtext to your question means I don't have to repeat things that I feel I have said a thousand times before.
Airmonkey hasn't a clue what he is talking about. Bush has got nothing to do with our nanny state, it is the EU's "Human Rights Act", amongst other things, that is to blame. However, our government agrees with it. IT ISN'T JUST BLAIR IT IS THE WHOLE DAMN GOVERNMENT.

Ok... big question!
Firstly no one is stuck with the EU Constitution... it has to be ratified by all member states before it becomes law... and hey... that's never going to happen. [Anyway even if we had it, it would beat the crap out of the USA constitution, which, incidentally, has as its' 3rd signatory a gentleman by the name of Button Gwinnett (what an ace name) who came from Wolverhampton!]
Anyway, back to the EU... I believe that it's not all bad. We now have the safest country in Europe to work in... we can travel freely throughout its' borders, everyone seems to love speaking English (to the great disappointment of the French), we have had a relatively peaceful Europe for 60 years, it helped bring down the Iron Curtain and it gives us another option to being the poodle of America.
Of course there are scare stories about all large organisations and those that oppose it spread riddiculous stories about things like straightening bananas and other cobblers. What are they scared of? Losing their power aand authority most likely.
Enough

Not a lawyer, but we got a Human Rights act from EU which no UK gov would ever have given us. The profits from casinos will pay for such as the NHS. Big Bros has been with us for centuries. England [and therefore UK] has been a police state since Elizabethan times. In London you are photographed on average about 350-400 times a day on CCTV.

Britian is NOT a EU member but France is.
From what I hear, the EU's laws are very complicated to understand and follow.

The nanny state is down to Blair and his boss Bush, not the EU; educate yourself.
