Being raped by a person you knew and trusted would be the pits. But, if you were to kill him then he wins. Then he hurts you again. Rape is not about sex. It is about power and control. If you were to kill him he would still have the power and control. You must be strong and brave. Strong enough to go to the police, strong enough to face the tests necessary to prove the rape, and brave enough to testify against him in court. Facing him with what he did to you will take the power and control away from him and give them to you. When he goes to prison you become the winner. Be sure to get your friend into some counseling to help her become the real winner in this situation.

Let your friend know that this happens to woman all over the world. It has happened to me and I am sure several other woman reading this right now. You can't kill him, it wouldn't make any of the pain go away or change what happened, but will add additional pain to your life and loved ones. Fight it through the justice system and hopefully you will be rewarded. If your not rewarded and he goes unpunished, then you have no choice but to move on and make the best out of life, and learn from what happened. Believe it or not, the pain does go away. I know it doesn't feel like it will, but it will slowly heal. I do feel counseling is important depending on how violent the incident was. I know you were violated, but keep you head up and keep your self esteem strong. You didn't deserve this. I really hope it all works out. Be careful.

Some people remain silent about what happened to them. Some people kill or find some other way to wreak havoc on the criminal's life. Both are WRONG because there is no justice in either.
She needs to go to the hospital, if it's not too late for a rape kit, and to the police. ASAP. Get her to see a counselor too. Try a women's crisis center.

-No. If the police report didn't work, what I would do is simply move on. Try to make the best of your life as possible. Get therapy to help you, possibly meds if required. Also tell your family. Get a good support system behind you to hold you up. Don't go to jail so you can keep wallowing in your misery everyday.

No, I would have someone kick his *** real good. You don't want to spend a lifetime in jail because of someone else. Then it's like he/she has control not only of your mind, but of the rest of your life, even though he/she is dead. Tell your friend to email me and talk to me, I was raped when I was 13. I am 23 now. I will be there to listen if she needs to talk. tacobell192002@yahoo.com
