Party affiliation is not the question here...
I'd vote for them regardless if they were Republicans, Democrats or Independents.
They both are great leaders and highly experienced politicians. Both war heroes who may best be able to handle the intense military condition that we face today.

HOLY COW..........yeah thats a seriously hard decision.....Honestly I think either of them are perfectly fit for the job and its just gonna come down to who can answer the questions best while on campaign.... Maybe Powell could do well since he's already had his feet in whats going on now.....but then again, John McCain's history and knowlege could be of great help.....Man! I like Powell a lot and trust his judgement but then again My Grandfather knows McCain as a friend and trusts him tooo! I think its way too close to call until the campaign starts

I'd rather have Powell/McCain, but they are the only ones I'd vote for on the republican ticket. What bothers me is, I heard McCain say we will pay for Katrina and we will do it by cutting health care. If anyone running doesn't think health care is the most important issue along with border security and better management in Iraq, I don't think they understand what the middle class is going through.

Great question and hard choice. I do not belong to a party, I vote who I think would best lead America, and you have as you mentioned two great men. I would go with Powell, but wouldn't cry if McCain got it, but I hope to see Powell back in the cabinet and not on the sidelines. Brother, as long as we don't get another Bush, Cheney or Rumsfeld, I could care if the new President is Muslim, Female, Purple, or whatever!

McCain is anti-choice and has health issues and Powell used up all his credibility when he puckered up and kissed Bush's butt by lying before the United Nations about Iraq in support of the Bush Junta.

Running together? Sounds like a plan. I'd like to think that our country has come far enough to allow a black man to be at least vice president-not that I care either way. Get someone in office who knows what they're talking about when they start sending my husband off to war, again? Where's my ballot?

And both have lost any integrity they might have once possessed by refusing to take a stand against the stupid, stupid policies that have put us into the middle of...ANOTHER...unwinnable, senseless war.
A decade ago, I would've been thrilled to have the opportunity to vote for Powell for president. I really thought that he might have become the first African-American in that office, and I believed he would have been excellent.
But he stood by while Bush mangled our foreign policy...and then mangled our soldiers and the Middle East.
No. I wouldn't vote for either man...now.
And that genuinely makes me sad.
