I don't know that u can. It's not a thing of impropriety or unfaithfulness, on your part. It's just that if u loved someone in the past prior to ur current relationship, u r bound to still have fond memories of the past. It's not something u can easily get rid of.

Perhaps you're confusing what you want. You won't forget the memories that you had created with someone else, but you should keep all experiences in life and remember past mistakes and past things that have made you happy. You say that this new love is better than the last, but how would you have known that if you didn't go through what you did? I say cherish the good memories, learn from bad memories, and create new memories. Everything is a part of you and what you are at this moment. Don't look at it as something you need to get over, look at it as something that taught you some things about yourself.

It's hard to get over past memories of a previous love. . .It takes time to heal and forget. . .However, you should write them all down and then throw it away. . .that way, you've gotten over it. . . .Plus, you have a better one in your life now, so just look at that and think about all of the new memories that you can shared with them . . .

My therapist once told me to write out all of my good and bad memories from a past relationship on a piece of paper. After I finished, I was to burn it and it would help me move on to my new relationship. Kind of putting an end to the old and starting anew! Good Luck.

You need to find things that keep your mind off of him/her. If you said you have found someone better why think about the past person. It seems to me that maybe you still have feelings for the past person. You need to think about what you are asking. You make have a litel soul searching left to do in your life.
