My children have been handed to thier father wrongfully and he then took them to his parents and dropped them off. I can not do anything about it until I can get someone to hear me from the system.

Wrongfully? How did you determine that? The reason children are giving custody to one parent and not the other is for many reasons. During the hearing, it is your burden to prove that he is unfit as a parent. Apparently, that didn't happen. What's your situation? Before you run and get a lawyer that you're going to have to throw down money, you better figure out what happened during the hearing. And no one from "the system" will wait to hear your side. You had your chance. It's called the hearing. And as for the father dropping the kids off at his parents, where's the legal wrong there? The kids are in a safe environment. The courts will only hear issues in which will affect the safety of the children. Is he a dope fiend? Alcoholic? Wife beater? If you can't prove some of the basics here, getting a lawyer will only cost you money for a losing case based on merits. And lawyers don't care. You get charge just for asking the question. Burden is on you.

the best thing for you to do is go to a Lawyer, I work for one, but each state has different laws. A lawyer can expedite the process and point you in the right direction. And most will give you the first meeting free and discuss payment thereafter!

No one know where you are or why they were given to your husband. Given that, all ytou can do is be totally polite and put up with every request that the State of Court make of you to regain them. IF you had visitation and the parents wont agree, go politely into court and ask what to do. You've got to fight for them, but not with anger.

Usually the only way the system will grant custody to their father is if the mother is unfit mother, on drugs, or if the kids are in danger.

I say call your attorney and file an injuction. Tell the attorney that he has abandond them with his parents. See if you can get a new hearing. Be sure to document when he dropped them off and how often he sees them or if he see them at all.
