I have a really good friend one I have had almost all my life. We were never intimate and we never dated. He once said he would like to but that was at least 6 years ago. My fiance does not like him, I think he feels threatend and I even stoped talking to my friend for a few months, but I felt awful I could tell it hurt my friends feelings and he had been such a good freind and we had been through so much together. We have recently started talking again. Is it cheating if I do not tell my fiance. Remember there is no romance just friendship

No, I wouldn't call it cheating. If you have had this friend for years, you probably knew him before you even met your fiance. You need to have a talk with your fiance, and let him know that being friends with someone you've known all your life is not threatening, and that he needs to learn to trust you. A really great relationship is built on trust, but I would not give him any reason to doubt your love be sneaking around with the friend. Would it be possible for the two of them to meet? Maybe then your fiance would see that there is nothing going on between you and your friend.

Cheating? Not if you're carrying on a platonic friendship like you describe. However, it's not a good idea to keep a secret from your fiance. Eventually, he'll find out. Then he'll be more suspicious then ever. It'll do more damage then good.

Make your boyfriend understand that it is just a friendship it is not cheating but it is lying and no relationship has ever lasted based on a lye

Just tell your boyfriend that you are just friends with this person & that you dont feel right about ending the friendship because he has been a long time friend.
