Based on the definition of "Terrorism" or "Terrorist", I should think so. I think less is done about it because it's easier for a government to blame other nations than it is to do so with its own people.
FREAK - violent or "intimidating" gang activity doesn't mean the group is necessarily going around killing and raping people - you mean to suggest that the KKK didn't go around trying to intimidate those who believed in race equality in the '60s? They don't engage in those kind of extreme public displays now because their membership has dwindled and society's tolerance of such activity is WAY less than it was back then.

We can't ban them--I mean, do YOU want thought police?--but we can do everything in our power to teach those around us that they are a horrible blemish on the face of humanity.
And we can certainly support laws that impose harsh sentences for hate crimes against ANYONE, though we also need to watch out that prosecutors don't try to call everything a hate crime. Sometimes a member of a minority group gets beat up because he's a jerk, or in the wrong place at the wrong time, not because he's a minority.
Now, here on Answers, there's a very vocal group of bigots, racists and idiots. I get so angry with them that I stay away from such questions. I don't believe that reading a reasonable answer is going to change them, as they are not developed enough to recognize reason.
I think that the solution to trolls in any online forum is "Don't feed the trolls!" In other words, the only way they go away is if they get no reaction. Perhaps I'll start posting, "Please don't feed the trolls!" as answers. Actually, that'd be a violation, as it isn't an answer. But I'm pretty darned good with words, I can come up with something that is an answer and will say what I mean.
Pass the word! "Please don't feed the trolls!" If everybody stopped showing up to protest their stupid marches in 3D too, they'd probably stop having them!

I hate the KKK and any "supremacy" group that beleives they are the only ones that have the right to exist, but from what I know the KKK, although deplorable, do not commit terrorist acts. Unfortunately, this is the price we pay to live in a democracy.

If we get rid of the KKK, then we also need to get rid of the Black Panthers, and any other ethnic specif group. NAACP is another example.
