Chlamydia is an STD - the only way to get it is to have sex (unless she's seen a FILTHY gynecologist who doesn't sterilize his/her equipment! EWWWW!!).
Seriously, however, it can go without symptoms for many years - YOU may have even been a carrier (having gotten it from one of your previous partners), since men very rarely have symptoms at all, and then given it to her. If she's been diagnosed you should be treated as well; and don't jump to the wrong conclusions please!

Either one of you could have passed it to the other. It is sexually transmitted, but it doesn't mean she's been sleeping around, just that she's been exposed to one partner that had it. It's entirely possible to be symptomless for years and never know you have it. Both of you need to be treated so you don't pass it back and forth.

It's a sexually transmitted disease, and it's pretty hard to get it without engaging in sexual activity. But, she may have had it for a long time, and didn't know it (often there are very few or no symptoms) so she may not be cheating on you. You also might have had it for a long time(nearly no symptoms in guys) and gave it to her. Make sure you get tested!
If she is a wonderful girlfriend in every other way, and has never given you the inclination that she might be cheating, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

about 5% of sexually active women and about 2% of sexually active men have this infection, these figures do not mean women are more sexually active than men its just easier for the infection to develop in a womans vagina, it is passed on by sexual contact, and it is true that it can go unnoticed for many years/months as it is asymptomatic in 80% of individuals. so it does not mean your girlfriend has been unfaithful, she may have got it from previous partners or she may have got it from you(your previous partners)
she just needs antibiotics and so do you coupled with abstinence from sex and the problem will go away...

No. however in concept, it extremely is achieveable to have it an have no indicators which you would be able to easily come across. A try would probably prepare this. He would desire to be mendacity, or the try would have been incorrect. they at the instant are not one hundred pc precise. Have him get examined back, and pass with him. If this theory upsets him, he would desire to be hiding something. (no longer unavoidably, yet would desire to be.)

It is only caught through sex but a person can have it for years without realising as it is mainly symptomless, especially in women.

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease. You have to have had sexual contact with someone who had it.

She may have slept with someone who has it? I think it is sexually transmitted but not 100% sure.
