For anybody out there who knows a thing or two about police procedures, this question is for you. THIS APPLIES FOR THE STATE OF MINNESOTA. Hypothetical: The police see someone speeding a 60 in a 35 in their car, but the police don't get the liscense plate number, and the person makes it away fine, but get a fair description of the vehicle. The police had several units searching in the area for this vehicle. Questions: 1. Is there a certain time limit after the crime that they cant give you a ticket? 2. If so, how long? 3. If they see that person another time...say...a day or two later...can they give them a ticket for a crime they supposedly "committed" a day or 2 days ago if THEY DON'T HAVE A LISCENSE PLATE NUMBER??? Please respond with haste.
