here is the true question...would you bring a baby into the world and then end up blaming that child for your misfortune? its sad that we are morally bankrupt in society but if we really are a democracy, everyone should be allowed their choice. ruling against or for abortion is democratically wrong. it should be a personal choice. the same way you have a choice to say yes or no to having sex, you should be able to say yes or no to the fetus. since we argue that a fetus is already a baby, we should then be allowed to get the fetus a social security number, claim it on our taxes and be allowed to put life insurance on it. that way it becomes a full citizen prior to exciting the womb. this might sound extreme to some but so also is the argument for or against abortion.

First of all I am a Republican true...but that in no way means I would ever "hide" my child(ren). I don't care what ailment a child might have may it be physical or mental, I have and will love them all. I was a special needs foster parent for over 15-16 years and I ended up even adopting some of my kids. I think that in putting the spot light on an afflication, no matter what it may be, is really something to be ashamed about. And to stress even more, I have said publically in this forum many times if there is someone out there who is considering abortion for any reason I would gladly take that child and give him/her a home. All children deserve life God willing! Prayers =)

Ido not believe in abortion, a peoson is a person no matter what mental or physical disabilities they have. I would never be ashamed of a person with a disability. I hope that you don't feel ashamed, because God made you perfect in his eyes.

Personally I wouldn't have an abortion but it would be better than not giving my child the love he or she deserves. I couldn't imagine being ashamed of my child even if it had medical problems.

To keep the Aryan bloodlines pure, Hitler disposed of people like you, Corky. Citing 'care' about their quality of life, they put them to death, a kind of post-natal abortion. Wasn't that sweet and caring of them?
Personally I wouldn't get an abortion. Probably because I couldn't even get pregnant - it's a man thing.
But I see a value in each life, even the life of a Corky. God's given you a soul, and you are a human being - life is your human right!

I would never get a abortion. No matter my age, or the illnesses of my unborn child. If I was able to get preganent that I should be woman enough to take care of my child. And of course I would not love he/she any differently if they were born with defects, and I most certainly wouldn't be ashamed.

Yes I would.
Changing diapers was fine for the first couple years but 45-50 years would wear thin. That isn't a life for anyone.

I could lie and say no but I would. If I felt my child would not have the same quality of life as a normal child then I would. Sorry

Not even if the child was concieved by rape. I would love it just the same, because it would still be the product of my blood and bones.
