you got to be kidding! democrats are just as much to blame as the republicans! with the exception of the Iraq war i think bush has done okay! who knows, he might be right on Iraq! gas prices are coming down and we still have not been attacked by any terrorist although i think it is a matter of time know matter who is president!
both party's need to do something for all people when it comes to health care and affordable GREAT INSURANCE! they need to come together instead of making it a political football issue.
the Katrina issue was another issue both republicans and democrats fell to attend too. democrats would like to make it bush's fault when in fact for many years the state has been controlled by democrats locally and nationally. t,Harry Reid, the democrat minority leader, was in New Orleans several years ago and saw first hand the shape of the levees. on request by the two U.S. SENATORS (BOTH DEMOCRATS) FOR MORE FEDERAL MONEY he went back to Washington and stated that Louisiana and New Orleans had sufficient funds for the levees and dams. the point I'm making vote on philosophy and read through the bull from both party's!

Hello!! :o) NO - it shouldn't. I can't help but think that some people have the silly idea that once the Democrats get back into the White House - the U.S. will turn into a 'Free Love' society. History should tell you that politicians - for the most part - are all cut from the same cloth. Craig!! :o)

Have you ever spoken for more than 30 seconds to an American who didn't share your voting or political leanings ?
Far as I can tell, the Republicans put more legitimate and competent civil servants of 'color' in higher offices than any preceding administration in the nation's history. The Democrats gave us Cisneros, the Republicans Colin Powell....so where do we really get off equating the GOP with the Klan? Ludicrous.
I'm no Republican, but I don't blindly buy into the racial hubris that is cast upon the GOP. If anything, the party who traditionally speaks for ethnic and racial minorities in this nation has failed to put together any sort of exit plan for those most in need, and continues to prop up a failed microeconomy in the inner cities by draining more and more tax dollars out of those who can afford it and subsidizing unproductive lifestyles within their constituencies. Public education, healthcare and the inner-city job markets are all severely underperforming because management of public funds and programs is not enforcing a responsible and accountable mindset on the public, and continues to subsidize poorer and poorer standards within these areas.
Every American should aspire to contributing the utmost to their own productivity and achievement but to do so in a legal, productive and socially beneficial manner. There is ONE party which is consistently content with de-emphasizing the importance of personal accountability, personal achievement, personal commitment to society and charity, while emphasizing the vast wealth generated by those who are personnaly accountable, achievement oriented and charitable, and the massive tax opportunity that wealth represents.
The government should minimally invest itself in redistribution of wealth. The government SHOULD incentivize all Americans to go to school, get good grades, get multiple degrees, work diligently, work intelligently, invest responsibly and wisely and contribute to those less well-off with their own charity and contributions. The government SHOULD not enforce cumbersome and burdening tax programs to reallocate wealth, because eventually people will be disinterested in building and maintaining wealth if they know at the end of the rainbow, the government will take most of it and basically do a bad job of investing it back into the community (i.e. FRANCE!).
I would like to see some serious budgetary reductions and tax code simplifications coming out of the Democratic Party. If they can responsibly put forth a globally supported plan to disengage from Iraq and reinvest those expenditures to fund alternative energy programs and more relevant defenses against today's enemies of the state, I'd be marginally impressed.
The platform of "Bush Sucks", "Get out of Iraq Now", "Let's Follow Europe" will not work, and will basically fail to lead the U.S. out of our post-9/11 malaise. Responsibility, Productivity, Optimism and Intelligence should be key features of any future president's or senator's campaign stump. America has to re-establish itself as the uber-powerful, uber-intelligent tough guy on the block, or face continued economic and terrorist pressures that will do nothing but poke holes in Old Glory and leave a mess of a nation for our future generations.
It's not time to whine and moan, it is time to get back in the saddle and ride that American stallion to future glories. The New Century must be the American, if the world has any hope of navigating its way out of the current jungle of death, disease and social decay. Until America's political parties quit self-ingratiating and start governing FOR the people, rather than against each other, our road will lead to an historical tombstone, and both parties are to blame.

Hey genius, the KKK was founded by white southern DEMOCRATS after the civil war. On the other hand, the NAACP was founded by Republicans. Abraham Lincoln, our first Republican president, freed the slaves. Senator Robert Byrd, a Democrat, was a former KKK member.

Not any more than it should be a hate crime to vote for the Democrats, meaning not at all. You and others who are so militantly anti-Republican and others who are just as militantly anti-Democrat do nothing positive to help anything in or about this country. One thing we all should remember, and this should make a difference. We are all by God Americans.
