Reading the average weight for upgrading to a booster is 30-100 pounds. My daughter is 35lb and almost three, when do you know that they are ready or the recommend age to go to a booster seat without the harness attached to the car seat and using a regular seat belt.

What state do you live in? Here's a website with the age, height, and weight requirements by state.

The booster also depends on how tall your little girl is. The purpose of the booster is to make the seat belt hit their bodies in the right places. I think most of the booster seats are for 40-100 lbs. Most carseats are good until they are 40 lbs. I would probably keep her in the carseat for awhile longer. Their bodies aren't strong enough yet for the seat belt. The harness in a carseat holds them to the seat better.

IF your daughter is a decent size (not real thin) and she is tall enough you can go to a booster seat now!!! I was abou the same age and weight when I got moved to a booster. It is a transition though, so make sure that your daughter is ready.

there are some places that do car/booster seat checks to make sure everything is how it should be. if you know where one is then go there and thats the perfect time to pop the question about your daughter being read or not with the harness.

it all depends on your child. if she is small and thin i would wait. but if you feel comfortable then do it.

you can put her in one and drive around the block and see how much movement there is or how she takes it
