Recently, from Afghan issue,I hear a lot about Pakistan. Its surprising that US has'n in close military & economical ties with Pakistan through various treaties since 1950. Paki sided with USA in Vitenam,USSR, Gulf and now on war on Terror. Contrary to what is shown on CNN, majority of people in Pakistan's urban area ( around 30% of pop) are westernized. Half million Pakis live in USA as an extremely prosperous, peacful & successful community. Still majority of Paki support President Musharaff who is a well known supporter of USA. Historically, Right wing Islamic parties could never gain more than 15 % votes in any election. Still I can't understand why people in USA consider Pakistan a fundamentalist state or anti-USA. I think majority of us dont realize that after Afghan war we left 3 million Afghan refujees there which r uncontrollable. They r major source of violence in Pakistan & elsewhere and provide cover to Taliban. When Pakis try to push them to Afghanistan UN stop them..

Well first of all thanx for thinkin wisely but secondly u have turned out a lot of jealous indians to speak shi8 as usual. Indians would speak shi8 about Pakistan wherever, whenever & whatever they can coz they r bloody backstabbers and jealous hypocrites. On one side they r trying to make peace talks with Pakistan to improve relations and on the other backstabbing by givin shi8 comments as usual. Every Country in the world has extremists but it does not mean tht the country support these extremists. We have always provided a front hand to world peace although neva appreciated. Pakis form a majority of migrated citizens in the USA, Canada, England, Norway and Greece and are peaceful. The British Government in 1970 and the Norwegian Government in 1969 invited Pakistanis to Work in Their country due to a labour shortage coz they knew they were peaceful, intelligent and adaptive to their society. And ofcourse as my friend said the soviet war sent many Afghan refugees to Pakistan who r homeless, poor and illiterate and willing to do anything for a living. So if India has internal problems and there are people who r fighting India for a seperate land and causing terror in India, its not Pakistan to blame. Now you would say that Pakistan supports the militants of Kashmir. Kashmir is just one case, what about the Tamil Tigers who have caused terror for years in neighbouring Sri Lanka supported by the Indian Government, The Sikhs of Punjab who fought years for freedom, Areas bordering Nepal and Bangladesh and ur Islands. So before u badmouth Pakistan just take a look at ur dirty and stinky azz.

You are mistaken... the USA is not anti-Pakistan. I don't know where you go that from.

Overall, the USA ppl are more anti-India than anti-Pakistan. We do understand that Pakistan has more Islamic extremist but at the same time, we give Pakistan leadership a lot of credit for attempting to keep terrorism under control and to root it out.

I can't answer your question because you are addressing to americans, but I do appreciate you, you are really a wiseman, I am a "Paki" (as you said) and I know what you have said is nothing but truth.

I am an Indian and from all the bombings and terrorism in India, one thing is for sure that Pakistan is currently the perfect breeding ground for terrorism in India and elsewhere in the world. Its not coincidence that people arrested for terrorist activities are always Pakistanis. And as far as America's treaties with Pakistaan are concerned, they are meant more for keeping an eye on Pakistan than being friends with them.
