It hurts to hear black people speak in such an obdurate manner as though Blacks deserved the atrocities that were forced upon them... these affluent Blacks actually try to rationalize racism they advocate for those that hate and persecute them.... WAKE UP... WAKE UP... WAKE UP...!

These white folks in 99.9 percent of the cases are perfectly comfortable... if you don't stand up for the blacks that lost their lives for the sake of greed then who will.... Should it be that all those that suffered be forgotten.... I am still hearing about the holocaust... does that mean that Jews are more worthy of remembrance than Blacks....

The Black man's name Jason Thomas... but because he's black Jews in hollywood don't want to give him the honor that he deserves.... They want to portray their as thoughBlacks did nothing when that is so not the case.... Yet tommorow I'll probably hear another story about the Holocaust....

We do have a holocaust museum here near DC.

We also have Black History Month, the federal government has declared Dr. King's birthday a national holiday, I don't know how far it went, but I know that here... the whole area had a moment of silence to commemorate the death of Rosa Parks. The list goes on and on for how we celebrate the lives of, and mourn the loss of, great black Americans through our nation's history.

Other than the museum, I don't know of any other notice taken of the Holocaust. We do not have one federal holiday that relates to a Jewish person. The Jewish holy days are not even recognized as federal holidays.

There is, and probably always will be, a United ***** College Fund, but I don't know of any special funding for students just because they are Jewish.

I'm not sure what you mean by white folks being perfectly comfortable in 99.9% of the cases. I am saddened that black people were mistreated in our nation's history, just as I am saddened that native Americans had their land stolen, that Jews were burned and tortured and killed just for being Jewish and that soldiers of every race and religion have died fighting for this country and others. I'm saddened that innocent people die every day as a result of war and terrorism. I'm saddened that people are grouped together as cultures as if everyone of one color, religion or culture are all the same.

We are not.

I am not every white woman.

You are not every black man.

We are individuals. In our nation's history, many have suffered, many have died. I'm not suggesting that we should ever forget any of it... but we must move on. We must, as a nation, learn from our mistakes and forgive each other.

Blacks must forgive whites because their ancestors were kept as slaves hundreds of years ago. Whites must forgive blacks for expecting the whole race to keep apologizing to them for something that happened hundreds of years before they were born. We all had to evolve. Blacks and Whites in this country are still evolving and learning how to treat one another with respect and regard. I hope we all get it right soon.

Whites must forgive blacks for the racial violence in some areas... and blacks must forgive whites for the same behavior in other areas.

I see blacks dropping whites with gunfire on the streets of DC for no reason other than racial hatred.

I see whites beating the breath and life out of blacks on the west coast for the same reason.

Your question should not be directed to blacks. It should be directed to all Americans and most humans. What is wrong with us all that we cannot stand tall for ourselves and each other? What is wrong that we cannot admit our anger and our inability to forgive? What is wrong that we continue to either hate or fear life as it was hundreds of years ago?

I can only fix things one person at a time.

"I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.--Helen Keller."

Blind from birth. Deaf from infancy. Still smarter than most. Dr. King had a dream. So did Helen Keller. I think the better question to ask would be "Who are our heroes now? Where have all the heroes gone? Who are our children to model themselves after now?" The only heroes left for our children are us. Set a good example for children of today so they can be the heroes of tomorrow. We're still not doing a great job and I'm hoping that the next generation will put us to shame for that.

I wish you well... and I share your angst that we are not all performing as well as we should when it comes to tolerance and understanding. My children have been educated in a school named for a former slave who started a trade school for blacks when they weren't allowed formal education. They have celebrated the lives of more blacks than many blacks have. I continue to teach them about heroes who lived and died for what they believe, whether black, white, Hispanic, or Asian or whatever.

Take a deep breath. Teach those around you. Concentrate on the children. Let go of your anger. Stand up and be smart, educated, strong, kind, responsible, successful and loving no matter what. It's the best way to make your point to all races. That's something that you and I can do together.

By the way, it might help everyone here to read why/how Jason Thomas wound up being played by a white actor in the WTC movie: http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=2293067

You might as well ask why when a white child goes missing it is more likely to get more media and police attention than when a black child goes missing. It's all economics, it's all about what story will sell the most papers and books or get the most viewers. This society doesn't respect Blacks enough as an economic group to pay enough attention.

As for affluent blacks, it's not fair to generalize and say that they are rationalizing the racism. Some of them have become affluent because they took a stand, because they refused to be categorized and victimized or accept the barriers set before them. Seems to me that your rant is directed at the actions of a specific affluent black individual.

I agree w/ you 100%..I've heard from several people about the black guy who saved lives in the wtc and is being protrayed by a white guy... It's obviously a slap in the face to blacks as if they hold no value, especially to Jason Thomas...I feel those blacks who do make a diffrence in the world are not given the credit they deserve. I feel no race or nationality is better than any other, so noone should be treated better, just because of their race.

well Jews may be Jews but they aren't dark skinned, so of course they are more "valued", right? I understand exactly what you mean. We hear about the holocaust but not about slavery and racism. The segregation decades ago is what now causes so many blacks to live in poor inner cities and turn to crime out of desperation. Yet you will see questions time and again on here asking why all blacks are criminals, when most are simply a product of the society whites forced them to live in. Good for you for asking an intelligent question. But be prepared for some harsh answers....

Well, you're an asshole.
Ha, and someone said this was an intelligent question....

"You know how dumb the average person is? Well, by definition, half of 'em are even dumber than THAT." - JR "Bob" Dobbs.

"I don't hate Jews, I'm just tired of their lies". Man, you are a moron. Care to enlighten us some more?

Yeah, this moron thinks I'm a racist. I may be an asshole, but I'm not a racist, I prefer to hate people for who they are rather than the color of their skin.

Conscious black people were rendered unconscious by years and years of leftist social programs that made them dependent on the government for most, if not all, of their needs.
