Quote: "LEFT/LIBERAL MEANS CARING, WANT EQUAL OPPURTUNITY FOR EVERYONE AND WE WANT PEACE. WE ALSO BELIEVE IN FREE EDUCATION AND FREE HEALTHCARE
RIGHT/CONSERVATIVE MEANS EVIL HATEFUL NAZIS AND MARXIST"
What the hell does that mean? Are you a complete and utter idiot as your information doesn't even make sense. For example, left wing does not believe in "free healthcare"; their stance is affordable health care for all. That doesn't mean it's free. Also learn some history man, calling Conservatives Marxists makes about as much sense as calling the French Warriors. Marx was the founder of communism and socialism, which is completely left wing, not at all right. Where the hell do you learn your facts, do you just pull them out your butt and type them down expecting people to blindly believe them?
Anyway to get to the question, many people already answered what left and right wing, but I'll give you some people that fit under both (historically) and remember some are further towards the poles than others, some tend to be closer to moderates borrowing from both sides. Also recognize that both sides have people that could be considered "evil" and have done many horrible things.
Left:
Marx
FDR
Kennedy
Clinton
Michael Moore
Kerry
Gore
Right:
Hitler
Mussolini
Reagan
Nixon
Bush
Truman
Moderates:
Lincoln
McCain
Washington (was a Whig, but that no longer exists)
Ben Franklin
Thomas Jefferson
As you can see many of the most renowned people in US history have understood that in order to operate a country one must be willing to work interchangeably with both political ideologies and figure out what is best for the country, not what is best for themselves. Nowadays most politicians don't even think about what is best for the country and it's citizens, instead they are more interested in looking out for their own re-election and personal wellbeing. One can't fault them as it is human nature, however our forefathers understood this fact, but also understood a nation divided upon itself cannot stand, and thus put aside their differences and worked together to form a common resolution (Bill of Rights, Constitution)

The following links provide a slightly less "biased" definition of right and left wing with:
Right = Conservative
Left = Liberal
Also, keep in mind that the definitions of what constitutes Liberal or Conservative policy depends on what country you're talking about, but in general they are fairly similar.

Left wing is Liberal, for liberty.
Liberals want better government, not more government.
Liberals think the poor and middle class should pay less taxes, and the extremely wealthy should pay more taxes.
Right wing is conservative.
Conservatives want cut taxes for the extremely wealthy, and raise taxes for the poor and middle class. conservatives want more government, not better government.
