Good country but placed in the wrong spot.

Post WW2, no one wanted the Jews in Europe. The European Jews were largely displaced and financially insolvent. The U.S. didn't want them. The logical answer at the time was to colonize them in their biblical traditional homeland, which at the time was a part of the British Empire.
The Palestinians were compensated for their land and evicted. Israel was started as a true communistic state, which is pretty ironic considering the cold war, Korea and Vietnam.
I think the issue could be resolved if Israel would relocate again, only this time to the western hemisphere.Lets give them Texas and let them join the U.S. if they like. All the American Jews could move there too and everyone would be happy, except, of course, the Texans. I bet they would keep a better border with Mexico than the U.S. does currently, and the illegal immigration problem would be reduced.

Israel is generally a good country. Any nation that can succesfully set up a government without becoming some basket case is a good one in my book. However, one must realize that Israel has a massive case of paranoia. Because Israel has been attacked by all surrounding nations, Israel believes that any chance they have to weaken the surrounding ones, they should take. That is the main reason why many people believe Israel is a bad nation.

Israel doesn't take time to build strong relationships with other nations, because they feel that they will only be backstabbed if they do. If Israel really set out to start promoting strong bonds with certain nations (I'd shoot for lebanon actually. start dropping foreign aid), Israel could actually become the so called, "Nato army," of the Middle east.

Israel is a bad country. Israel is run by zionist extremists who seek to destroy the arab world as we now know it.They want entire control of that region.Israel was created to stir up animosity and conflict amongst the arab nations in that region. Do not be fooled by their we are defending ourselves we just want a small sliver of land for ourselves attitude. They are violent terrorists and should be dealt with as such. They have slaughtered hundreds of thousands of palestinians and nothing happens to them. They refuse to recognize palestinians as a people. They refuse to admit that the palestinians had lived in that land all along. They are horrible and they get away with murder because if you question them you are anti semitic and hate jews and wish harm to them.Of course Jew is a religion and not a people. They have no claim to that land and it should be given back. Saying God wanted you to have it and you are Gods chosen people so that gives right to do as you wish is a ridiculous argument. And furthermore when the new testament was written it negated most of the laws in the old testament, yet these people refuse to acknowledge the new testament and christ coming back.Which if you are a religious person means something to you, if you arent ignore that part. But the bottom line is they are a very very bad country.Im not surprised that Irans president doesnt believe in the holocaust when he has been raised in that region.Where the media actually shows the state of Israel for what it is. Lying scum bag terrorists who want to destroy all arabs.

Israel is a tiny county surrounded on all sides by terrorists, the same terrorists who attacked us on 9-11. They are the only ally the US has in the Middle East. The land has belonged to the Jewish people since Biblical times. It officially became a state to take in the victims of the Holocaust who had nowhere to go.

Israel has tried to live in peace with their neighbor but that has been impossible. They even turned over a portion of their country to the Arabs. Still the terrorists sent in suicide bombers and missile. All Israel wants to do is defend themelves, live in peace, and have safe borders.

Israel is a good country overall. ITs like the America of the middle east.

By that I mean its where the people who wanted to start a new life have gone. To be free of opression and discordia.

You don't have to be Jewish to live in Israel btw.

I'd classify Israel as a good nation, but a scared one. The history of the Gaza Strip is long and complex. They're living generations of hate and disdain for Palestine and I wonder how many of the players who act out against each other today truly undestand the conflict.
