People of every political persuasion can be hypocrites. I trust this isn't news to you?

He already is one! A liberal is like the dog that bites the hand that feeds him. He wants to live in a country that is safe from terrorism! He believes we should love thy neighbor! He thinks we need more money spewing, social programs! He be lives it's OK to murder an unborn child!

Yet this same hypocrite will criticize and condemn those who are committed to protecting his sorry butt! He's happiest when the new towel heads or homosexual couple moves in next door! In a pig's eye he is! He criticizes the money spent to protect him and his ilk! He condemns the Christian right for it's conservative stand, yet actively encourages special interest, even when he has no interest!

Certainly. A liberal may not embrace diversity. A liberal may drive a gas hog SUV. A liberal may be against abortion or immigration. The problem is generalization and relativeness to the perception of liberalism. I may be more liberal than the next guy but in the eyes of someone eles we are both tree huggers. and then broad sweeping generalization are bad, like everyone is California is a flaming leberal. Not true. And the Gov in CA is Republican but the Prez in DC may consider him to be too liberal.

Liberals ARE hypocrites. It's the liberals who rally for the rights of animals and say "meat is murder," but when you talk about putting an innocent unborn fetus through a grisly death, it suddenly becomes "My body, my choice." They're great at telling the government what is wrong with this country and what they need to do to fix it, but when you point out their illegal or immoral behaviors, they answer "Who are you to tell me what I can or can't do?" They scream about the injustices done to minorities, but their answer to discrimination against minority groups is discrimination against white males (affirmative action). They claim that they are the ones who care about the impoverished (yeah, right -- has the plight of the people on welfare gotten any better by liberals continuing to give these people barely enough to live on?), but any time the Republicans talk about welfare reform that involves providing job training to those on welfare so they can get jobs and would therefore no longer need it, the liberals scream "The evil conservatives are trying to take away your welfare!" They claim to be more forward-thinking, more open-minded, and more accepting of the downtrodden, but they constantly bash conservatives with a maturity level that makes Pee Wee Herman look like Ward Cleever, and they take great joy at bashing the very people who protect their right to free speech -- the military. They refuse to see the world for what it really is and instead expect the world to conform to their point of view. There is a very appropriate phrase in the English language to describe such a person, and that phrase is SPOILED BRAT.

I'd say that is one definition of a liberal. Most of my liberal friends, who are the first the yell "OIL WAR", etc. are the ones driving the bigger cars and SUVs while I, a more conservative person, at fifty still ride a bike to work. 16 miles a day.

Hypocrite is basically the definition of liberal.

All people can, at one time or another, can be hypocrites. People with good intentions, good hearts and good souls try not to be but sometimes they still are.

It's simply human nature.

Anyone can be a hypocrite. I've seen more hypocrisy from the cons than I have from the libs.
