I do not think that the parties are doing what is best for the average American. I believe that the world needs to get over their problems with America and find a way to make their own countries better. If everyone would take care of themselves first and foremost the world we be a better place where we can all get along finally.

Good question!

I am saddened by today's politics because it seems that there is no longer anybody truly admirable, truly of a statesman level getting into politics, if they ever really were.

The worst is the divide between the parties, between the left and right. It used to be that both parties ran the political gamut from conservative to liberal, but in the past 3 decades they've become polarized - Dem=liberal and Rep=conservative (except on the coasts).

This has led to hard divisions, to an unhealthy partisanship that should not be tolerated by anybody. It is seen in the blatant liberal slant to most media outlets, biasing the whole thing so that people think Fox is actually far right wing, when it is actually pretty moderate.

It has led to partisanship and political power being more important than the Constitution or our national security and the lives of our fellow Americans. It has led to people believing the most outrageous lies about the President. It clouds their judgement in a way that could seriously cripple this country.

God help us all.

Imagine.......

A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the Richter
scale hits Mexico.

Two million Mexicans have died and over a million are
injured.

The country is totally ruined and the government doesn't
know where to start with asking for help to rebuild.

The rest of the world is in shock.

Canada is sending troopers to help the Mexican army control the riots.

Saudi Arabia is sending oil.

Other Latin American countries are sending supplies.

The European community (except France) is sending food and money.

The United States, not be outdone, is sending two million
replacement Mexicans.

God Bless America.

Worse than prostitution. These guys would call Mother Theresa a thieving crook if it got them more votes. These idiots are so busy telling us why the other party is wrong they forget to do the one thing they were voted into office for and that is make decisions in the best interests of the PEOPLE. Hell, read the first three words of the Constitution, which they are supposed to uphold, it is WE THE PEOPLE. We should get rid of every single incumbent politician in the US and start over with regular, though educated, American citizens.

Todays politics are bullshit. Muslims are fast becoming the equivent of jews in ww2. US govenment think they can drive 2 planes into buildings and blame it on a dead afgani guy. A country can be attacked at 40,000 of its civilians dead for no cause (iraq). To be i see the US govenment as the cause of teh trouble. Polictics these days is teh meaning of the word "hypocritical"

I am sick of people saying the country is divided and that politics are harsh. The simplest explanation I have is that it is like a sports fan and there rival team. They don't actually hate each other but they disagree.

Terrible.
Thats it politics. We have Politicians and not leaders. Politicians who want power and to get reelected. Politicians who choose to keep our border open for money and votes!
We need true leaders. Bush is half a leader, and thats better than most, but we need better.
Rudy Guiliani in 08!

Today's politics are venomous, hateful, aggressive, polarized, arrogant, and ill-tempered. I have noted this is much like the political climate before the American Civil War of 1860.
