You need to figure out what is BEST, instead of what you WANT. I myself have lived similar to what you are going through. If your parents love you and they help you, then stay with them until you get your life back on track. It sounds like you will struggle more without them than with them. Eventually, if you work hard to obtain your goals w/your kids, then you'll be able to be on your own. When a mother finds herself alone with her children depending on her, then her duty is to depend on her support system, which should be family (and don't forget GOD). Your parents may be willing to help as long as you make your efforts too as a parent yourself. Do what's right, girl! Don't go wrong out of stubborness or need to fulfill yourself and yourself only. I wish you well, really. Take care of you and your little seeds! Help them flourish to be better than that dad that's in jail now.

the final definition of a single mom (based on many adverse perspectives i've got considered right here) is that she's an uneducated, unfastened, decrease type lady. fairly sufficient there are a number of knowledgeable useful women human beings in recent times who do exactly no longer choose to be married, it does no longer mean they at the instant are not with companions, merely potential they do no longer sense the would desire to get married. some little ones are deliberate others have been surprises. in spite of the indisputable fact that i'm no longer on welfare, and make great income a profession i detect alluring (no longer stripping), i'm no longer adversarial to sharing my existence with somebody and not getting married. To remark on why human beings say those issues, they pay interest to the internal city information, that are alarming and paint a foul photograph. the project is, that team of ladies human beings and their little ones do no longer signify the rustic or all single mothers yet ignorant people who won't have the ability to make certain bypass the revealed notice, do no longer think of approximately that. They take what they examine as reality even however information at the instant are not something better than a chosen team in a chosen region for a chosen effect. i be attentive to precisely the place to pass to get the outcomes i choose to coach any factor, and so do they.

I don't know, I probably would go to Puerto Rico. If you have a good relationship with your parents and they could help you out with your kids and have a place to stay, you might as well. Your husband is in jail so he can't help you out any. You don't have a place to live where you are, right? Take what can help you out in the moment, not what you really want to do with your life down the road.

I would tell you to go and talk to the financial aid advisor at the local college. There are usually programs that help low income people and single parents. Some colleges also have housing programs for students who have families. check out my university.. I am a single mother, I lived in family housing on campus and I basically go to school for free. I advice checking this out. There is a huge hispanic population here, even international students. BTW, if you are a student you will also get government services such as daycare, foodstamps and medicaid. Dont think you are living off the system, it willl be temporary until you are on your feet. Think about the better job and pay that will give your family a better life.

You should visit your local Social Services department. You should be able to qualify for welfare and assisted housing - you should also qualify for some Student Financial Aid with grants, etc - you'll probably want to visit your community college for help with financial aid forms, fill out a FAFSA and see what happens. Since you are "technically" married you won't have to include your parents income on your FAFSA, so you should qualify for more aid. If you are unmarried, you still have to count your parents income on the forms until you are 24.

Groove, shut the hell up. If her husband is in jail then she is at the moment a single mom. Her children have a singular parent supporting them! She didn't state how long he'd be there. If you can't give her advice, then don't bother posting!

Definitely go to social services and see what assistance they can provide

Try to see if you can get assistance from the state in which you live. If you're not working and just going to school then the state may help with childcare, health care, food and housing. Praying for you.

try applying for section 8 or public housing, your local human services should be able to direct you to the right agencies and your local churches can help too.
