Ok, I am all for healthy skepticism, but what the heavens is going on with all of this nonsense emails from some of my fellow Yahoo! Answers about Aliens and Reptilian boogeyman stuff. Evil meetings in a forest with sacrifices. I'm sorry, it's just too out there for my taste.
Don't get me wrong, I suspect and can confirm lots of shady political issues...but come on now!

Sorry, you are right (bright future penguin) I should have phrased the question differently. I meant some "conspiracy theorists".

Here's a question - what is wrong with being a conspiracy theorist? A conspiracy theorist is someone who looks for evidence of people cimmitting wrongdoing and tries to figure out what happens. There are huge groups of them roaming the country.
We call them COPS. They arrive after bad things happen and try to find the people that plotted to commit the bad acts. They develop theories about why the bad acts were committed. Uh oh.
Seriously. It bugs the hell out of me when people use the term "conspiracy theorist" as a club just to put down an opposing viewpoint. I don't know what topic the original poster was referring to, but why not go back to it and either discuss whatever point it had, or just ignore it if you find it nonsensical?

Conspiracy theories come about because people can't seem to face the truth. There is only one conspiracy. It's a conspiracy everyone knows but very few care about.
Want to know what it is? Watch "The Corporation" or "Why We Fight" or ask why has the US economy grown over 60% in real terms since 1990 yet the vast majority earn pretty much the same?
The only conspiracy here is that democracy is being slowly eroded by a wealthy elite through corporations. The only conspiracy is that the US as well as the rest of the so called "Western Democracies", are in fact becoming "Western Oligarchies"...

I feel that this question is part of a larger conspiracy between yahoo and the Bush administration to make me sit at the computer for an extra minute so my waffles get that much colder.

... you can skeptic all you want .... there is a globalist agenda .. call it new world order or whatever you want to .... they are moving towards abolishing our constitution and sovereinty as a nation ... there are many executive orders and plenty of evidence all around us to back this up ... there will be most likely major dissent when it finally comes out into the open and martial law will be declared and anyone against the new "order" will be rounded up into concentration camps that already exist .... UN troops will be used in the united states ... civilian populations will be relocated and relieved of their guns, possesions, and lands .... some will be forced into labor camps ... let me point out that this isnt some far future threat ... it exist right now and could happen almost overnight with FEMA taking the reins of govt because of a terrorist attack ... a nuclear strike ... violence resulting from an attempt to round up illegal aliens in mass ... the economy crashing for any number of reasons ... there is a nightmare just waiting to happen in this country that we are allowing our govt and those in power to build around us without checks and balances and under the guise of deceit.

Absolutely! I find humor in those that are foolish enough to question the attack of September 11, 2001. Those that claim it was U.S. plot. Give me break.
It is another form of 'Bush did it' mentality.
