co-workers on 9/11 without being overly political? Is doughnuts enough?

9/11 should not be a political thing. It is a time to remember those who were lost in an attack on this great country. You do not say what occupation you are in, so I do not know why you want to thank your co workers. I can tell you this, those of us who were involved in the aftermath will never forget.

God Bless America!!!!

Bring in doughnuts and juice I guess. I don't know what you want to say thank you for or I'd probably be able to help a bit more. :)

Donuts would be fine.

How about a moment of silence for those who died on that day?

(I worked across the street, and I am still there.)
