Can you, without cursing or attacking past or present administrations or Conservatives in general, explain what the Democrat plan for world peace and stability is?

Okay Conservatives knock it off, I'm trying to see if there are any serious answers out there. And sharonzeke, I don't think my God has any problem with me, does yours?

We plan to methodically pull away from the various wars we're currently involved in, leaving military advisors in place and multinational peacekeepers in place.

We plan to pay down the US national debt substantially, allowing us to invest heavily in world trade and aid.

We plan to rebuild the areas of the world that we've damaged, allowing those peoples a chance at establishing safe and secure lives, and giving them the chance to better themselves.

(This is very hard without pointing fingers, but your question was specific...)

Generally, we plan to take care of America and Americans first, and then spread whatever goodwill we can worldwide to allow other folks a chance at a better life.

Militarily, we plan to hold governments accountable for unacceptable practices - North Korea, Iran, places like that will still be on a short leash.

There. Not a slander at all.

Not all liberals are Democrats.

I believe we should be focusing more effort on finding the Al Queda, considering they were the jerks that knocked our buildings over.

I feel we made a big mistake going into Iraq. It was a red herring. However, we are there now, so we need to come up with a reasonable exit plan that doesn't leave Iraq a powder-keg waiting to blow. The sooner we do get out of there, the better, though, considering that Iraq might as well be a black hole for our country's resources. War ain't cheap.

[P.S. : I'd also rename this war from "War On Terrorism" to "War On Those Jerks That Knocked Our Buildings Over". I'd argue it was the ambiguity of the name of the war that let us get on the Iraq tangent in the first place. We need to refine our goals a little bit, tightening the focus of our aims.]

First of all, start re-building Iraq & stop bombing it. I don't
think terrorists are going to hide out where we're dropping
bombs.
Then concentrate on the poverty & health care problems we
have in our own country. Healthier Americans make a stronger
America.
There is a crisis in our emergency rooms right now, due to
the lack of health insurance in this country.
Bush has so many divertions going on right now, it's easy
to look right past it.
The crime rate is also rising in our country. You can hire as many
law officers as you want, but, the truth is, as poverty increases,
so does crime.
This country needs to pay attention to the middle class, who
can still be saved from falling into poverty, if someone would
just take a look at these big, bullying companies & do
something about them taking advantage of the
average citizen. Like the pharmacy companies charging
obsence amounts for medication, just because they know
insurance companies will pay.
Insurance co. -just another example that needs controls.
I hope I've answered your question.

While I don't claim loyalty to anything political, I am probably closest to being a Wellstone Democrat, though I feel the best candidate for President at this time is Rudy Giuliani.

So, about your question, what on earth do you mean by "the DEMOCRATIC plan for world peace and stability"? Do you mean as opposed to REPUBLICAN? Or as opposed to SOCIALIST?

Don't all people want world peace and stability? Even Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld want world peace and stability. I don't agree with the means.

So cough it up! What is your plan for world peace and stability?

Why do you believe peace and stability is im-possible? That's the sort of thinking that keep peace and stability from being "possible." Listen, We live together on one planet with no alternative but to find common ground, or dominate everything. If you haven't noticed America is at the same piont as a year after 9/11, except a lot more people have died in the fighting and, America is BROKE! Osama is still loose and there was no reasonable reason to invade Iraq. - No more excuses!

Let's see...Stop supporting countries that support terrorism (Saudi Arabia would be a start). Support countries that practice democracy (like Venezuela). Stop allowing our foreign policies from being dictated by big business. Do more for our people here. Reduce the size and scope of the government. Allow states more freedom.

That is a very good question, but are leadership is so enamored with the possibility of a GOP collapse in November, they haven't bothered to put one together.

The time for leadership is now. Who will lead the Dems? (Insert sound of crickets chirping)

Give them money to leave us alone and put all our troops back in america so we can sit back and watch all hell break loose. Than wave a white flag when they get together and invade us and learn to speak CHinese.
