"The Hysteria Must Stop."

The cheek of this administration, you would think they had nothing to do with the present hysteria surrounding 9/11 and terrorism.

Of course his statement is correct.

It doesn't matter what type of puppet he is or not, what matters is what he is saying now is right. (Even if it comes years too late, it is better than never).

Of course he and his acolytes have a lot to do with creating the hysteria in the first place, and continually feeding it by using their connections in the media to show only a certain side of things.

But now, it seems, they realise that things are going too far, so there is a need to rein in the dogs of war. But rabid dogs aren't that easy or safe to control...

The second aspect we should think about is, given the past track record, why exactly is the administration attempting to call back the rabid dogs? Are they starting to scare the voting public and causing the administration votes? Are they therefore trying to steal a march on their opponents, especially in view of the Lieberman issue? (To move to the centre slightly rather than represent the extreme right wing view?).

In sum, I am glad the message has been sent, but that doesn't change what I think of him or the administration he is part of.

People have no clue how they are being manipulated by the media. You can see it on here with the questions. You read the news than come in here and see this weeks hysteria. People get excited over what the media wants you to get excited over. That is their power and they live for it.

George Orwell was right. Double speak, cameras everywhere, Citizens being spied on by the secret service, Shop your neighbour or friends to police hot lines and the perpetual "war on terror". Where will it all end. An atmosphere of fear.
