Having been an Infantryman,... I would feel betrayed by the country I so loved and swore to defend with my life. I would be disgusted.

I think the world is rethinking the blind assumption that globalism is better for the citizens.

Better for big business, yes, since all the world can then drive down labor costs. But not better for the citizens.

The EU constitution has its problems, and Bush's nascent North American Union is in trouble before even starting.

And we aren't the only ones against it.

I don't know how Mexico would feel to be a junior partner state, but Canadian citizens don't like the idea at all. With the citizens fighting it, I think the politicians will go before the border does.

Although I have met many illegals and all have been nice and good and I understand and sympathize with their desire to come here, I am against Amnesty and any open border.

Granting amnesty is an invite to break the law, plain and simple. You don't invite people to break the law.

Open borders is radical, basically NOBODY wants it, and ain't gonna happen anyway.

Very badly.... it would be an act of TREASON.... 85-90% of legal Americans want illegal aliens DEPORTED...

When a government goes against the law and refuses to obey the overwhelming majority of the legal citizens... the government NO LONGER REPRESENTS the PEOPLE of that country.....

If our treasonous congress were to do that, it would be the same as declaring open season on illegal aliens....

That is what congress is trying to do now, but the house is dead set against it. If they pass it, it will be political suicide for all those who voted in favor of it. They will not like the backlash, I can guarantee that.

The current Republicans in the House will never let it happen. Remember this if this issue means something to you and you are considering voting Democrat in November.
