At first personally i didn't think they could have, although they have the technology and know how to easily organise the atacks, my main problem in not believing the 9/11 conspiracy theories were that could the bush administration really kill thousands of US citizens just to have access to more oil? It seemed ridicouous, however recently i viewed some information on something called 'Operation Northwoods' where the US government were gonna commit acts of terrorism across the states so that they would have public support for military intervention in Cuba. The president and senior military officals were all for it. So it got me thinking if they were prepared to commit terrorism in 1962, could they have organised the 9/11 attacks? There is more than enough evidence that they at least knew the attacks were going to happen, intelligent people please give me your views. thanks.

OK as far as intelligent that is questionable as far as I'm concerned because i dropped out of high school but as far as the reports of there being some plot in 1962 that would gain support of war against Cuba it real those files are not made up there official unclassified federal documents and if you look into who the key players are you ll find the direct relations to those in power in the government today and up to Sept 11 2001 but most people cant believe that their great country has been hijacked by an elitist group and were at their mercy so keep asking all the questions you want and demand answers but don't ever settle for answers that don't make sense to you keep searching and asking maybe we will find that the Truth no matter how horrible will set us all free again and we can get back on track to being honorable once again

I dont think that the government would have organized the attacks because that is easilly traceable.
But looking at the sagging poll numbers Bush had at the time before the attacks, I could see the administration turning a blind eye to the attacks and letting them happen. The attacks would give a solid new enemy for the US to focus on in the post Cold War era.... plus the traditional rally around the president mentality the country has.... 2000-3000 people dead would be a small price to pay for the party in power... or at the least the president.... to build new momentum and give himself a policy to drive his presidency in a time of divided government and a polarized electorate.
And before you scoff... just remember that people in power only care about one thing... and thats gaining more power.
9/11 was the best thing that could have happened to Bush at the time... only now are the effects starting to wear off. Every time he dips in popularity, he starts to play the 9/11 card again. Its still working... but not as well as it used to.
Even if he didnt know about it, Bush has probably knelt down at night and thanked his maker a couple of times for the attacks. It has saved his presidency.

It galls me to think it but it would not surprise me. Bush had just become president so I don't think it was that . I do think it's about power and only power. Also, for revenge. The mass murder of people would certainly distract a nation from the then internal political struggles around the election and other stuff that was going on. I know that I certainly fell for it until the Iraq thing began and I returned to my senses. The ABC film tonight is a classic example of distraction. In any case, I don't believe that "dots weren't connected". I believe that they were ignored. I hope that I live long enough and am cognitive so that I will see justice done.
