Of course not. Regretablly flags tend to be hijacked by the extreme right for their own ends but this does not mean we should ban national or regional flags. This problem is a world-wide problem - look at the Front National in France or the various militias in the US. They all hide their sickness by wrapping themselves in the flag.
As Dr Johnson said, 'patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel' However this does not devalue genuine patriotism, only the twisted version peddled by the far-right.

Why would you ban the British flag? Ban the Confederate flag. You can't ban a flag symbolizing the patriotism of another country and let a flag symbolizing slavery and racism stay.

I am not English and would ask why would you want to ban the England flag? You should be proud of the flag of your country as i am of mine.

If we ban it does that mean every other country in the world will ban theirs? so no i don't think we should ban the England flag unless everyone else is going to ban theirs.

Like hell we should. The George flag is the flag of England, and long may it fly. What the hell are you? Some kind of politically correct loonie-leftie anglophobe? Go and take a long ride off a very short pier. THERE'LL ALWAYS BE AN ENGLAND.

Sally Anne, dear, your question doesn't make any sense. Should we ban the England flag from what? England? The ladies restroom?
Or wait, here, please allow me to ask you a question: What's the difference between a banana?
If you are able to answer that question, there's no hope for you.

What makes you ask this question, please do tell?
It's only in very recent years that we have seen the resurgence of the cross of St George in such prolific numbers.
No leave it be ...the Scots have their Flag , The Welsh theirs so why deprive the English of theirs. Ask a Cornish man if the Cornish Flag should be banned and see what he says to you.

No. As a Welshman I understand the importance of having a national flag. The people of England should take up the battle standard of Saint George and fly it whenever and wherever they please. When we meet at the Millennium Stadium to beat you dear England at rugby, bring your flag of St.George. Listen to 40,000 voices sing Land of my Fathers. Be afraid, very afraid.
