would you want to hang out wiyh somebody or call them a lot if you didn't like them?

It may or may not mean that he likes you a lot. Some guys and gals did the very same thing you are asking about, and when the time came moved on to some one else or married some one else.
Listen to your gut feels and look out for Red Flags as they unfold and go from there. If you are not getting any thing out of this relationship call it a day and move on.
