Well you're under the age of 18, so yes tell your mom so she knows what is going on in your life and can look out for you if need be.

I think maybe both of you need to concentrate on your studies...spelling and grammar would be a good start - lol - and as long as that is your priority, if I were you mom I'd not have a problem with you seeing him, as long as you spent a good deal of time on your studies first...improving your scholastic skills. I'd also think it might be important (with your mother's approval) to spend much of the time you do spend together at your own home so your mother can get to know him better too.

Good luck.

You're too young for a bf. You shouldn't already be thinking about this kinda stuff so soon esp. you're only starting HS. I mean, the age gap is not a big deal, but your mom might not like the fact that he smokes or failed twice. No mom would want her daughter dating a loser. Oh, and she might think he'll try to get in your pants too.

Best thing to do is just stay friends with him so you can just introduce him to your mom "as a friend." That way you're not lying to anyone.

Tell her you have met a nice guy, but leave the stuff about smoking and flunking out of the conversation. She can then meet him and make her own decision. Whatever you do, be strong and take him along the good path. Do not go down the wrong path with him.

well..i cant say ure having a dilema coz it shouldnt be one for u. my advice is to go open to ure mom and tel her u have a bf, talk to her about him, she wil understand u coz remember once she was ure age too. if in the end she has hard time accepting him than, u can invite him over to meet him. im sure if u like him so much he is a nice guy and he wil impress ure mom..but dont go behind her back coz on this earth in the end..only the parents are the ones that love us uncoditionaly, no matter what we do..i say u should tell ure mom and ull see ull feel much better than hiding.good luke

A quick and easy way to get Mom to trust you is to keep no secrets.
Tell her you have a secret you want to share with her, just the two of you.
I suspect that she may rule out "car dates", or only allow "group dates" for awhile, but that should help take pressure off of you to maybe do things you aren't ready to do. Get my drift??
Have her give me a shout out if SHE needs to 'chat'!!
Good luck!

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. I was in this situation once, yet my boyfriend was younger. If your mom is going to freak out about it, you have to let her know how you feel about him. I'd definitely let her know though, because if she finds out on her own, she may be even madder than if you would have told her in the first place. Hope this helps!

Well as long as you know this guy won't get you in trouble you're ok, but it be good if you told your mom, if you need help w/ your relationship!
