Estimating the number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. is not an easy task. The best estimates peg the existing number at 7 million (about 3% of the population), with an estimated annual inflow of about 350,000. Of these, about 125,000 (41%) are visa "overstayers". Here's a table showing some 1996 figures of illegal immigrants by country of origin:

would you not blame one main group over the rest when it is so mainly lopsided? if it was turned around to your home country and america was the top number would you not blame america for the problems?(dant say no becasue most of you do already)

Mexico wants to come here for a better life? I am struggling with 2 sons. The government won't help me with welfare! But they give it to Mexicans who make welfare their first stop once they come here? Now that is racist!

I disagree with the statement that America was built on illegal aliens. Legal immigrants in our great grandparents days had to be screened before they could become Americans. Illegal aliens are missing major steps in our current immigration policy. No major group should be pointed out. Just get all the illegal aliens out and fine them for living here freely for so long.

Problems? are you kidding me i never thought that working low pay jobs and have having proper health insurance or home to live in was a problem for you.....I didnt know americas desperatley wanted to work in strawberry fields and or in harsh conditions for nothing. While your sitting all lovely with your feet up look around and tell me an illegal didnt lanscapde the beautiful lawn you look at. And people are constantly going across to bored to party and cause mayhem NO DIFFERENT some american need to stop being hypicrits and start accepting the fact that there is no better race and america was based on illegals

Okay I don't really understand your point. I am not Mexican but I am Hispanic, so I don't get why you have it so much against Mexicans. Their skin color? I mean how come you don't have it like that against Canadians or Polish? (not saying go ahead an have it against them too) I just think your point is REALLY stupid
