I'm all for freedom of speech but that movie does appear to cross a line... not making the movie but I'd be willing to bet there are political motives behind its timing.

The president of the US is not as important as many people think. Yes he has a lot of power but what he is is TERM LIMITED and one should never get in too much of an uproar over someone who will be out of office shortly. I find it kind of funny how much people of other nations, particularly in the EU, get so upset over a term limited politician, when the worst or best of Americas power currently lies in the Congress. Congress is the most dangerous branch of American government today and with its power grabs beyond the rights assigned by the constitution and its attitude that it is above the law, well let's just say that term limits one way or another is desparately needed in America today.
I would much prefer that a studio does a major motion picture of Vince Flynns "Term Limits", as it seems so much more germane to the issues of America today. I could just see myself sitting there cheering and yelling support, and it would not be for the people in congress. I just loved the book.

I'm as far from being a Bush supporter as anyone. But to put his face on the character is disrespectful to the United States as a whole. It seems that the film is showing how some crazy might do it and gives them license to try. I don't think it will help the political situation in the UK and some here and there are going to be highly offended. It's hard to make a good judgement until it is seen. It's creepy to me.

This is in poor taste. If anyone in the U.S. ever made a film like this, about a living, sitting world leader, the rest of the world would be furious. It's the typical Liberal European double standard. In days past, when the U.S. was less politically correct, such a film would be considered an act of war. Regardless of what Americans think of Bush, this should be seen as an attack on the office of the Presidency and should not be tolerated. Otherwise, the next time it happens, it could be someone you respect. I'm not a huge Bush fan myself, but this, to me, is vicious and extreme. No American should let their personal political beliefs allow another nation to insult us in this way.

It never should have been made. It's in VERY poor taste. If it was a fictional president, or it was AFTER President Bush was out of the White House, it would be okay. If it was about Clinton, it would be okay, because he was already president, and there's no chance of him becoming president again (unless the 22nd Amendment is repealed).
If it gives anyone a warm, fuzzy feeling...they need some help. They must not remember when JFK was assassinated. My parents told me about it...and they said it was awful.

SATIRE. The word is satire, look it up and stop getting wound up over what essentially sounds like a harmless satrical mockumentary.

I think its great but not good enough, the real thing would be much better, that day should be a holiday for this country. Im a revolutionist, and could give a sh*t what people think of me, if they are for people like Bush, then I am their enemy.

We (for the most part) don't want President Bush dead, we just want him to be the "ex-President". If we really wanted him to get shot, we could just send him hunting with Dick Cheney!
