Because most people are like sheep, the scare tactics work. Look around you. Every time Bush gets in trouble or ratings drop...surprise, a Bin Laden tape finds it's way onto television or a threat comes from Iran.

I would not relate his Public Ratings to his use of scare tactics. He is only reminding ppl of what they have obviously forgotten about. I bet if the mall was turned into a fire zone once in a while he wouldn't have to remind you!
Thank him - and his cronies - the war is a thing we must be reminded of, rather than cleaned up at our schools and shopping centers!

I think Iberious has something stuck up his *** because he is really being a deuche.
As for bush and his scare tactics, it reminds people about bad things that happened 5 years ago. And it works on old people who watch fox news all day. Oh, and Colbert could kick O' Reilly's *** anyday.

Yumpin' Yimeny! This is practically the exact same question that was asked a few hours ago! So, here I go, cutting and pasting, ........
You nimrod. Both political parties pander to constituencies by inciting fear of the constituencies of the other party. The boogeymen for the Democrats are "corporate America," and "the Christian Right." The Democrats' version of catastrophe is that the rich will get richer and dangerous Christians will force you to live by their backwoods morality.
Nothing makes me sicker than to see you hypocrites claim that you never pander to fear. Nimrod!

Fear causes the brain to revert to older wiring. In other words, it cuts off rational thinking and goes into a slightly more fight or flee mode. In this mode people react to leadership with more acceptance over thinking...

I am not sure that this is his decision per-se, but I am sure that his handlers and those in his cabinet - or in the posititon Carl Rove was in tell him what to do. He strikes me as the kind of person who, though he has convictions, has very dew original ideas regarding strategy. I am sorry to say this, as I voted for him, but I can't watch him give a speach without cringing now days.

It's the way of most bullies. Besides, it's the driving force behind this administration. It's to divert our attention from the things that truly matter.

Not scare tactics!
He is just not letting everyone forget. People seem to forget what has been done to us. We were attacked, for God's sake....literally. We aren't at war with Iraq...we are at war with those radical muslims who deal death by insugency and terrorism. They boast of their power and might but they fight from the shadows and are sneaky and they kill unarmed civilians.
I could go on and on and on.........but I won't get up on a soapbox AGAIN!!!!!!!
