Truthfully, i don't think they have any idea. I think it started way back when it was commonplace. It was something that was taught to people growing up. In a book I read once, it compared slaves to live stock. So in some people's eyes image a horse or a cow (or a chicken -Kocka Doodle Doo Klux Klan he he) walking up to you and saying they want to be free. And then just sort of make a sloooooow progress forward. And here we are.
Now a days, its just because.

Because they just can't face the fact that they lost the Civil War and blame the blacks for some reason. They blame the blacks for everything just like Hitler with the Jews.

They were brought up to believe that all other races besides white was inferior. KKK along with many other people want to protect the white race from becoming outnumbered. Preventing the fact that our government in America will stay predominately white. I guy from KKK a use to know said this. DO YOU want this country ran by a bunch of ******* or Jews and the white race to be the minority? I for one totally disagreed with him and argued and argued to no avail. I personally think it is a deep seeded fear that was placed on them during childhood along with the hate that was preached to them.

The klan feel that blacks people should still be owned and slavery should still exist. (that's how backward they are) They feel strongly about White people being Supreme, thay don't like minorites, and they don't likw racial mingeling.

They don't just hate blacks but Jews and any other race that is not the white race. They think they are the right race.

it was started by plantation owners who were scared blacks would rise up and enslave whites, and they were willing the do anything to prevent that.
