It seems that some people hate Bush more than they love this country. When feminists attack Bush it just shows how willing people are to throw away their own values if someone they dislike is doing things that they themselves would do. I am talking about Bush sending the woman oppressing Taliban packing. I swear if Bush started supporting abortion all you pro-choicers would turn pro-life. Bush has also spent more money on welfare programs than any president in history and black people still say he hates them and does nothing for the poor, albeit the perpetually poor. (Seriously black folks, put down the government teat)So, is it true, do you hate Bush more than you love yourself and your country?

NO but it seems that republicans would. They seem to hate the constitution and love Bush no matter how he keeps getting slapped by the Supreme Court for passing unconsitutional executive orders.

It wasn't their oppression of women that turned Bush against the Taliban. They were queering his big pipeline deal. You knew about the big oil transmission line accross Afghanistan, right? Bush hasn't spent more money on welfare. First of all, Bush doesn't spend the money and second, it's not his money. You imply that more money has been spent on welfare during his administration than any other in history. That may be true due to inflation, even though I doubt it. But as a percentage of the GNP, I'm sure it's not true. Bush has publically antigonized the NAACP by dishonoring Martin Luther King Day. And he's done it more than once. He's stupid all right , but not that stupid. Nobody said that he hated black people. They said he didn't care about them. Indifference is not hatred, but it's effects can be just as devastating. And as for hating Bush more than I love my country, it takes a shallow, unimaginative mind to pose that question. Did it ever occur to you that I might dislike Bush BECAUSE I love my country? And your aside to black folks was contemptible. Sure you didn't ooze out of a Charles Dickens novel?

Well, another lie by you.

It was Bush who spent 42% of the time before Sep 11, 2001 on vacation.

Bush didn't read Dr. Rice's report in advance (in August 2001), warning that Osama bin Laden planned an attack by flying airliners into skyscrapers. I guess he had more imporant things to do.

Bush failed to do his job, and thousands of Americans died because of it.

Bush failed to prevent the worst attack on the Continental USA ever.

Bush failed the prevent the only attack on the Pentagon, ever.

Bush failed at negociations with Iraq, and thousands more Americans died because of it.

I know the Conservative argument, that Bush is not responsible, and I don't argue with that. I just want the president to be responsible. Is that so much to ask?

This is the same kind of divisionist rhetoric that the fascists in 1930's Europe used against the Jews.

Aren't you proud to find yourself in the same company!?!?

Seriously -- where you asking the same question when the vast right wing conspiracy was going up against Clinton?

I had no problem with Afghanistan -- that doesn't mean that I have to give the guy a buy on Iraq-nam or the slow, methodical destruction of the bill of rights. That's the real destruction of our country.

uh... have you got examples of feminist talking out against the Afghan invasion? I haven't heard that... and just because he does ONE GOOD THING... it doesn't mean you have to support him through all of his HORRIBLE DECISIONS...

and do you have the numbers on the welfare thing... adjusted for inflation and per-person... I would be willing to bet that more people are on welfare due to Bush's policies, so that's why he's paying more... it's not like he made the decision... his own poor decisions made more people fall into poverty, that made more people need to get on welfare... yeah... that's great...

if you love your country... you're probably not a Bush fan... since he's messing it up...

Can anyone say "young republican"?

Open your eyes man! Have we ever had a point in our history where the rest of the world, including our friends, felt so unsure of us? If your answer is "we don't care", then you scare me. The way Bush is mortgaging our future to the Chinese, we're gonna have to care! Talk about destroying our country, that's a good way to self destruct.
We're not going to be able to stay the supreme power if we don't have economic power, and if nobody wants to study enough to be educated enough to fine tune the nuclear umbrella that we're holding over everyone's heads!

How about the slow response to Katrina, the Medicare Drug fiasco, the Valerie Plame incident, the number of uninsured children rising.

You say liberals are destroying this country?

George and the GOP have been in FULL CHARGE for six years. This is the best they can come up with?

I think that the libs would say the sky is green if Bush said it was blue. No matter what he says or does, it's never right or never enough according to the libs, or the democraps as I like to say. They say he's racist, but he has appointed more "minorites" to the courts or to cabinet positions than any other President, including Clinton.
I just don't understand how someone could hate him that much. I personally think that it's just being a sore loser. They can't stand that the American people elected him twice.

Don't you love how the GOP shills are so desperate that they now have to distort reality to try and make a "point"?

The vast majority of Democrats supported the invasion of Afghanistan. But if pretending they didn't makes you feel more American or macho or whatever, than be my guest.....

Oh, and thanks for the nice racist touch. Nothing like a Republican spouting tired old racist cliches to remind America why we are booting the GOP to the curb in the next election.....

What does hating Bush have to do with being liberal?

I would think that anyone who respects the rule of law, and values the Constitution, would despite someone like Bush who willfully violates both just for kicks.
