That's a great question and one I've wondered about for years. In fact, don't many members of Team Bush, have past connections to energy? For starters Rove worked for Enron and Condi had an Exxon tanker named after her but it was rechristened lest it become a target. I wish a sharp forensic accounted would feel challenged to puzzle this out and enlighten us.
This is going to be the gang that came to Washington to do well and did better than they could have ever imagined. Thank goodness for all those tax cuts for the wealthy!
