Emotion is considered a sufficient defense against cold, sober facts.

People believe they alone have all the answers, and ask questions to support their own delusions.

There is much hatred between Americans, and against Americans, and an incessant desire to find uncommon ground vs. a collective understanding of facts and an appreciation of the 'grey' of any issue.

People hate researching facts on their own, but jump on any tidbit from someone else that sounds remotely factual and absolutely in line with their view of the world.

Party affiliation is much more pervasive than intelligence and rationale.

There are more, but what anyone should learn in this forum is:

This is America at its best, OPEN debate, OPEN discussion, OPEN forum for exchange of ridiculous and rational thought. Don't forget that when you're busy bashing the Yankees, it's the Yankees that stand for liberty, justice, for all.

I have learned that both of the two major political parties can be absolutely filled to the brim with hate for the other, or there can be cooperation, which has not happened in 5 years due to the interference of the greaseball extreme leftist Michael Moore, who is so intolerant of cooperation that he has said anyone cooperating with republicans will be thrown out of the democrat party. And so far, that has proved true.

I have learned that many people; one might say all people, no matter how incorrect that may be; are intolerant of at least one religion based on whether or not their respective governments have done anything slightly wrong.

I have also learned that many people are stupid, no matter what they may think of their intellectual title, and should not be on this section of Yahoo whatsoever.

Finally, I have learned that people should open up to other religions and peoples before they say anything about them, condemning or not.

Do you really want to know or are you being facetious .
It might be interesting to know what i will learn in the future .But back to your question .
I have learned that many people posses many diverse opinions and also look at the simple facts in a wide variety of ways .
THE simple truth of the building collapse on 9-11 has provided many possible answers but the one answer no one can escape is that it was done on purpose .
BY who or why many people will debate for years to come .
The information about the direct cause comes from many sources and it is up to each person to select what makes him feel good .
IF you dislike Israel for instance you might say it was a plot by Israeli intelligence to increase support for Israel and against arabs .
If you dislike arabs you will say it was a group of terrorists and that we have some Good muslims and some fanatics . THOSE are the bad ones .
STILL others will distrust our own government and say it was a plot to go to war in the middle east for oil .
SEEMS to me the answer is the planes flew into the buildings flown by radical religious nuts from what religion it does not matter a nut is a nut .
THIS resulted in a fire ball explosion that resulted in the collapse of both the towers and the resulting fire in surrounding buildings brought them down also .
NO explosives or other devices used at all .
NO giant plot evident in the actions of the people involved .
YES we had been warned and knew it was coming but we did not act to secure the doors on our airlines as many other nations had ..
OUR pilots and passengers where the victums of our own arrogance and nothing more .NOT to have secured the Cockpit from possible hijackers after the late 60's and early 70's was just plain stupid on our part .
IN-action as always is the result of incompitance inthe white house and the airlines for not taking corrective actions years ago .
WHEN will , as they say , will we get our, $hit together .
THIS leaves me with what i ahve learned and that is we are not as smart as we all think we are and there fore should listen more before speaking out .
I am guilty as charged in this myself but feel that i bring atleast some common sense from time to time for those few who i actually give a resonable answer .
LIKE this one .
I took the time to offer you what is my opionion and based on fact how i few this forum .
I hope you delight in it as much as i do from time to time .

I've learned that this forum is important to every one who visits it and the questions are generally entertaining and sometimes even informative however there are still a few topics were emotion will get the better of you and that is always a good thing.

I've learned a lot. For one thing there's an EXTREME side that attempts to represent the liberals & conservatives who usually have nothing to say other than to just trash the other side. It's the people in the middle that I've started responding to. There are some really good ideas from both sides in reference to problems we face today in America. I've learned if you can wade through the bashing and blaming and name calling there are some really good questions & answers!

Stupid people are getting even more stupid. People that lacks all the talents tend to think they know everything and a big show off. And too many pretentious asse holes out there who are full of talk but no actions. They should shut the fock up, and listen and start doing something. And witches = whores = biatches = big focking mouth = lots of stupid gossip = trash = duce bags = dirt. That's what I have learned from this forum, how about you? I'm not pissed off, I'm just listing what I've learned as you asked me to.

That the American education system is failing it's children with regards to spelling, punctuation and grammar....that Republicans still scare the crap out of me - I'd happily vote David Cameron over some of the people on here!

Politics should be put in the Jokes section. It has no value since it is nothing but a bunch of baiting, whining finger pointing.

Racism is alive and kicking.
Loyality to President has over ridden Loyalty to country and law.
People don't read enough, or lack real critical thinking skills.

and that communication is diffucult when your opponent is name calling as thier evidence or logic.

regardless, it has also taught me there are a lot of educated people out there still fighting the good fight.

but my favorite favorite thing i found on this fourum was this.....
