The map would look funny. It would be better to just straighten out the line from Washington to the middle of Minnesota all the way to Maine. I like straight lines.

Why on earth would a rational person consider such a dumb move? Where is Quebec going? If Quebec ever separated, there'd be no need to replace dumb Quebecers with even dumber Americans . Canada has never shown the need to take over anyone and to take over North Dakota would be a political, economic suicide. Americans are paranoid enough already, please don't post stupid questions that only serve to fuel a minority of Americans. One of them could be George W.
