When I came home from my week long vacation my 6 month old kitten which we have had since she was born actually peed on me! I got in bed and as usual she got on my chest to cuddle but instead she let loose, I could not believe it! That was a month ago. Now I just got back from a weekend away and she peed on my clothes from my trip that I put on the laundry room floor when came home. Could she be gettting back at me for leaving her?

She's mad but will get over it. Just give her lots of attention and love and she will forget that you "left" her. If she continues to do it tho , take her to the vet.
Funny story tho, my ex and my cat didn't like each other and my cat would always crap on his pillow! The cat hated him. I guess I should've paid more attention to how my cat viewed him and divorced him sooner! haha

I think that could be the case. I had a friend with a cat, and if he worked too long or stayed out too late and didn't give the cat enough love, he would pee right on the bed!!

You need to line up appropriate care for the cat while you are gone. Someone who can come over 2 or 3 times a day and spend some time petting the cat. This one seems to need a little more attention than some, and to keep all your belongings from smelling like pee... get a pet sitter!!

My step-dad's cat does the same thing...but he doesn't have to be gone for an extended period of time. The cat pees on his clothes all the time...clean or dirty, it doesn't matter. Other people in the house can leave their clothes somewhere and she won't pee on them. I think it is a way of "marking territory." Even though she is a family pet, she definitely is closer to my step-dad. She pees on his caps, towels, everything that has his scent (except the bed and his chair...go figure). Our vet said that getting her spayed might help if you can have it done before the behavior becomes a habit....good luck!

Yes!

My cat used to throw up on my clothes after I got back from a trip. I would pick your clothes off the laundry room floor and put them in a hamper she cannot access.

LOL. She's not mad at you hun. Actually, your cat likes you a lot and in her eyes you belong to her, not the other way around. She's marking you and what belongs to you as hers so you and everyone else knows it. So, she's not mad as much as she's jealous and doesn't like it when you go away.

Yes, that is a very common behavior problem with cats, usually you stop what is annoying them and the urinating stops. Good luck

Yes, absolutely! And you need to be careful, that she's not doing it elsewhere in the house, as well. They sometime limit it to 'your' personal items (* because, it's you, that 'they're' mad with) Are you leaving her alone, in the house, when you leave? Perhaps, try boarding her, somewhere or leave her with someone she trusts.

Nope, she was marking her territory. If you want to make her mad just bring home a new cat.

No. Cats don't think like that. Most likely, she was marking her territory or got too excited about you being back.
